These things happen now and again, it wouldn't be the first time in the history of boxing that human error has been responsible for incorrect stats being broadcast!
or maybe he just weighed 163

because when the weight is reviewed & then later confirmed by showtimes spokesman David Greisman you have almost zero leg to stand on. Greisman today will tell you that lucas came in at 163 & there was no mistake............

so if we're not talking about facts, what are we talking about?

          conspiracies?
I don't know about "facts" but it's difficult for me to believe that a 140 pounder that looked completely normal at the weigh-in could somehow rehydrate ~25 pounds overnight. The most Chavez Jr. (a 160 pounder) has ever been reported rehydrating to was 22 pounds and he looked like he'd been in a WWII concentration camp at the weigh-in.

I say let's wait and see how much he rehydrates to in his next fight since in his last few fights he's always been 151-53.

then why would he deny it and say it was 153 on a radio interview - its not as if 163 is an illegal fight night weight.. Matthyse said it was 153 which is around the same fight night weight as his last 3 fights. Again, what would be the reason to dispute 163 unless it wasn't accurate?

Think a little more critically people, mistakes do happen and networks aren't immune to making them. For Matthysse to suddenly weigh 163 on the night when his last 3 fights he weighed 153, it's evidence enough to suggest that someone got the number wrong. But then for Matthysse to come out and clearly state that it was 153 not 163, it pretty much seals the deal.

Matthysee went from 140 to 163 overnight vs Dallas. Wouldn't surprise me if Broner weighed 155+ pounds lastnight.

& thats ok.............you don't have to believe it. But what I'm saying is don't try to argue me down with conspiracies. if you don't believe lucas was 163 just leave it at that, it's your opinion..........but the fact remains that lucas came in at 163 (is there a chance that there could of been miscommunication) yes. but I'd say A very small chance (notice how they were spot on with Mike Dallas's fight night weight)

The odds of there being a typo on both fighters weights would be huge. The idea that Mike Dallas weight was 'correct' does not make it any more or less likely that there was a typo made on Matthysse's weight somewhere along the way. I don't think there's any conspiracies; statistical mistakes happen all the time. Personally I'll hold out to see what his next fight night weight is before making up my mind.

Anyhow I don't see why anyone would think Broner could have weighed more than 150... it feels to me like they're just looking for excuses to hate on the guy.

So Matthysse comes in at 151 to 153 for his last 5 fights but for Mike Dallas he comes in at 163 The only fighters that gain 25 pounds overnight are the fighters that struggle to make weight. Lucas has no problem making 140, he weighed in at 138 for Dallas.

It was obviously an error. That's why they're called UNOFFICIAL scales.

Notice how it's only Broner/Floyd fans trying to push that whole 163 agenda? Do they think Lucas is a threat or something, are they intimidated? These are the same people that claimed he was on PEDs because Virgil Hunter threw a fit like a jack ass.
