Duran, better resume and spanned more weight classes. Gotta give him the nod.

Who is higher on the ATG list: Floyd Mayweather (so far) or Roberto Duran?

This is a perfect example of older era fighters being perceived as better. I don't even really like Floyd on a personal level, but hes better ATG AND head to head..Duran lost to De Jesus at his best weight, Lightweight (although he did avenge loss)and beat Ken Buchanan wuith an obvious foul..Durans record is as padded as JC Chavez is...

There are other attributes to consider too.
Duran was a real fighter - he never demanded an opponent wear gloves with extra padding!

I voted Duran but you all really do underestimate Floyd. Duran because of his warrior style and the competition he fought makes me consider him higher up the ATG list but had they fought in their primes I'm not totally convinced Duran wins. When considering Floyd vs the Fab 4 it's the fight I'd most like to see.

Look at my sig, you have a hater like Hugh Grant saying that if FLoyd was to beat Hatton, Cotto, DLH, Mosley, he would be with the Ali and SRR of this world. Floyd has beaten all these guys, plus Pacquiao, Alvarez and others, and Hugh Grant is still saying FLoyd has to fight this guy and that guy.

THe CW with Canelo harmed Floyd real bad. Beating Pac was one helluva win for Floyd, but as has been said many times, Floyd didn't take the fight when he should have done. Plus the fashion that he won wasn't too impressive, never hurting Pac and the clinching. Taking it after JMM dumped Pac on the canvas will never be good for Floyd.
Not fighting GGG at middleweight will harm Floyd. The fans want it, yet Floyd don't. I mean if the world was begging Duran to fight Hagler or GGG, youd better believe Duran would have done anything to please the fans and give them what they want. Just like BH is calling GGG out now. Real fighters and ATGs.
Floyd with his unbeaten record has a serious case for being a candidate for being the best of this generation alongside Pac and BH without really seriously being it.
But he isn't a candidate for challenging the real contenders....whilst Pac is and BH.
You, Spoon, and PacBoy are the three worst posters on this site, after all the call youve made you should be banned flom life from this site.

Floyd should man up and fight GGG at 160, no catch weight, no rehydration clause.
Then, Mayweather would be respected in the same way we boxing fans respect Roberto Duran.
