Funny how it was Oscar who had trouble making the weight
I'm sure if he would've stayed at JMW, he would've had a ton of success.

He went to MW to get the Hopkins fight.

He fought David Reid right after Oscar at 154. Reid was actually a good fighter and pretty much ruined by fighting Tito so early

rookies? reid and vargas were the #1 and 2 guys in the division. they were world champs with multiple title defenses. was trinidad not supposed to fight them? "sorry guys you are rookies i gotta go fight some bums instead." i'm sure that would have gone over well.

Vargas had just gotten a gift over Wright and Reid looked like ass against Mullings and was ho-hum against Boudani even. The division was horrible. Thiam? lmao! Beating up gardeners in France means nothing.

They were the top guys in the division

Reid did not look bad against Mullings, he won easily and Vargas' wins over Winky and Quartey were very good wins.

???? That fight was hyped up like crazy. Even ESPN was hyping that **** up, because of the flag incident.

Tito by that time was a legit star. B-Hop was known as boxing's best. That fight was crazy hyped.

Yeah but to say Trinidad moved up for the Hopkins fight like Hopkins was a somebody is just nonsense. He was pretty much the sacrificial lamb and a stepping stone to Roy Jones vs Trinidad.

Then Hopkins upset the apple cart
