Ah, that's why. He had most of the top fighters huh?

That fight was the epitome of robbery. Even Roy Jones went off on that one.

I just think De La Hoya gave away too many rounds at the end. If he finished the fight strong I think you could bring up some conspiracy theories but he reduced his odds of winning by running away late in the fight.

My theory with some robberies is a fighter that's behind gets sympathy rounds at times where they have a better round than they had earlier. So fights aren't usually as lopsided on judges scorecards during the first half of the fight as we may see it. Because of that, giving away the late rounds is never a good idea.

Say what you want about King but he could put together mega events with nobodies. Tyson vs. McNeeley is one of the best selling fights of all time, live gate and PPV. LOL

"Tyson vs. McNeeley generated $96 million in pay-per-view revenue worldwide. 1.52 million homes picked it up, setting both viewership and revenue records for its time."

He gave away 3 rounds at the end and had one about 7 clearly before that. It boggles my mind.

Even though we feel he gave those rounds away late, a judge still scored one for him
