Floyd has been fighting at welterweight for the last 8 years and is a two time 154 pound champion. He's 3 inches taller than Marquez and Marquez is actually the shortest fighter Floyd has fought since Jesus chavez who also is a career LW.

    Pretty basic.
Which means he is no longer a featherweight. Once you move out of the division, that's it. You don't get a pass as a "career featherweight" with every fight when you are no longer fighting in the division.

It's hypocritical for you to point out Mayweather' two fights at 154 without giving him the same pass you're giving to Marquez. Marquez 144 pounds at welter while ignoring Mayweather's high of 151 pounds in the jr middleweight division. Same thing.

Marquez can no longer make that weight at featherwight any more than Mayweather can make 130. You're also contradicting yourself when you point out that most of Marquez fights were in a lower division when the same can be said about Mayweather at 130-135.

Marquez does not have to "eat" to get to 144. That's just stupid. He walks around heavier than that. Fighting at 144 only means he doesn't have to cut as much weight.

If Marquez meets Mayweather at 147 he won't be moving up two weight classes to do it. Your delusions won't change that fact

Seriously you can say all you want to make excuses for Floyd but fact marquez was a Lightweight Champion when they fought the first time and Floyd was a Welterweight Champion thats 2 fuking weight classes and Floyd fought and won titles at 154 which is why floyd doesn't get the pass. he doesnt need a pass dummy he fuking won LOL!!!

Pacquiao on the other hand had Marquez in his side like a thorn for 8 years because Marquez arguably beat Manny at least two times prior to the 4th fight.
For the record, Pac lost by KO on their 4th fight, but JMM lost 2x by closed and slpit decisions and draw 1x on their previous encounters. Meaning, of their 4 encounters, Pac scored 2.5 agsinst JMM 1.5! Now if you would say JMM wins their previous fights then you are starting again the same endless debate that has no merit at the end. The fact is, you're just one among those who believes JMM had won those 2 fights yet I'm just one among those who believes the scores or of judging were correct.

JMM for all indications he didn't resign is just because he needs a bigger purse for a 5th fight with Pac. Floyd is not at all an option because he don't have that style to beat Floyd.

Your memory failing??? JMM was down 3 times....that is more than close to stopping JMM. And before the 4th fight, JMM was not close to stopping Pac. You should know by now ANYTHING can happen in Boxing.

being outlanded 21-7 doesn't indicate to me he was fighting a smart and technical fight...

did he set him up for that overhand counter? yes, but I'm not debating that...just like I'm not debating he was being busted up and was on shaky legs...it's plain to see
Yeah but JMM has been down a total of 5 times in 4 fights and hurt before by Manny but he has NEVER been close to being stopped. He always got up and put on a competitive performance so just because his legs were wobbly don't mean that he was about to be stopped and why should he be scared of Pacquiao? He stopped Manny in the 6th round. Ridiculous.

In the first round of their first fight but he got up each time and made the fight a draw. Poor comparison.

Why do you think so many rematches happened between them. Other that Cotto not agreeing to another catch weight and JMM being the most money fight for Pacquiao to make? The sport of boxing knows that those decisions were debatable ESPECIALLY the 3rd one.
