Donaire needs to get away from TR

Bob Arum is only going to drag him down.

For his legacy, his resumes sake.

Just like Juanma vs Gamboa, Floyd vs Pacquaio etc we will never see Donaire in the ring with Rigondeaux or Mares (two of the biggest fights that could be made)

I knew this, I predicted it on here 18 month or so back but got caught in the hype.

Instead we'll have to witness Darchinyan vs Donaire 2, where Donaire fans convince us Vic is prime, looked the best he has for years & all that
Rigondeaux is done, what a waste of talent. His next fight will be against the man from Del Monte.

Looks like Rigo has still refused to sign the 750 grand contract.

If that is true, then this Rigo guy is an undeserving pu$$y. Donaire took significantly less than that when he was still a nobody. The logic behind the begging is supposed to be beating the star to make you a star. You get the prestige THEN comes the money.

      What's wrong with $750K anyway?

Donaire signed a contract extension back in 2011. I don't think he'll be leaving TR anytime soon, but why would he want to? It seems like he's making good money and I get the impression that he doesn't really care much about who is put in there with him.

As for Rigo, I don't think he's "done", but he's definitely not helping himself right now. What's the big deal with this legal dispute between TR/Caribe? Fighters should be careful not to be loyal to promotional companies, cuz at the end of the day, it's business.

Don't let these guys feed you the b.s. without you being informed man. Rigo is having contractual issues like every other Cuban fighter out there. Not surprised, nothing new.

I said long ago, before and after the Arce fight, that this fight would not go thru.

I don't know about Arum, but it's become apparent that he'd rather do rematches. I'm sure he's rooting for Alvarado in the Rios rematch so he can have his trilogy. If Margarito beat Cotto in the rematch, he would have done, or, at least, introduced Marg/Pac 2. He won't stop till he gets Pac/Marquez 5.

Rigo proving that he is in fact a complete fraud. Nearly got knocked out during sparring in 2010....he knows that in a real fight he would get knocked out by Donaire.

If Rigo signed the contract we would have this fight. Rigo let us down here, Arum is just taking advantage and will be happy with the situation so he can marinade further

But Rigo and his poorly organised team need to carry the can for the lack of this fight

If Donaire leaves TR this fight will never get made

Nonito tried to leave TR once already, he had to stay because he signed a binding contract. I guess Nonoto didn't read the fine print.
