Ortiz vs Maidana was exciting. Maidana vs Khan only got exciting when Slowdana landed that right hand he threw from somewhere in the back row.
Lets not lie rounds 2-9/10 was boring, the whole audience was asleep until he landed that shot.
The Morales fight was mediocre, it was only remotely interesting because only Maidana could make the great Morales look like he still had a lot to give.
The Karass fight was very good up until the rather premature stoppage, bit of an anti-climax.
I am sure if I could be ar5ed I could spin it and say Khan & Malignaggi have been in half a dozen or more FOTY type fights.
As soon as he steps up its just non-effective aggression. If you don't stand infront of him he is left clueless. He is one of the most unskilled pro boxers I've ever seen. He has no jab, no head movement, hes slow, he cant cut a ring off, he can not put a combination together.

Maidana deserved the mayweather shot more than ortiz. Ortiz didn't even avenge his humiliating loss to Maidana and went on to get the Mayweather shot. Maidana would ice berto as well, if that's what qualified ortiz more than Maidana. Be real dan_cov and others. Styles make fights, but Maidana could ice anyone on a good day.
I see Matts as being swept under the rug as well. They don't invest as much in the argentines.Comment

He couldn't ice anybody worth a damn on his best day. His best win, his only half decent win is Victor Ortiz!
He is as overrated as you can get.
He will knock over a few more cans and when he steps again, he will lose in one-sided fashion. I really do believe there maybe 15-20 guys at welter who would beat him. Hes C level.Comment

I think he has a 50/50 against maybe half a dozen and loses the rest. The guy is painfully overrated and seriously limited.

Maidana is a ko artist. Anyone that can defuse his bombs and work him will have success. I happen to think he is one of the most underrated fighters out there, though.
I'd pick him over, malignaggi, bailey, abregu, berto, zaveck, decarie, heerden, jones, bundu, chaves, and lopez. He'd win a war with guerrero. Ghost has not so much pop and is there to be hit.
Floyd, marquez, bradley, alexander and brook could present him problems because they could defuse him with movement, defense, or countering. Brook I think he catches though but I see brook as having better composure than Khan so unless Maidana can pull a rabbit out a hat brook could possibly slip by him.
Some of those other guys in the first list would try movement countering and defense but would be overwhelmed.
Maidana wins a rematch with Khan too btw. And ices Ortiz again.Comment
