But wait, they were and are undefeated so I suppose that's all that matters.

The murray fight is understandable imo, under the context that martinez did just tear multiple ligaments in his knee, had reconstructive surgery, broke both his hands, etc.

So if Martinez fights Golovkin and beats him then he's ducking Pirog. If he beats Pirog then he's ducking a Chavez rematch. If he beat the 'new and improved' Chavez then he's ducking Quillin. If he beats Quillin, then he's ducking Geale and so on and so forth... meanwhile the guy isn't getting any younger.
