    Garcia represents the new gen.

this was supposed to be a passing of the torch, so to speak.

what we just saw was not a promising harbinger for this new gen.

    discuss.

I wouldn't call it quitting. I think Robert was the one who exploited the situation.

i acknowledged that guy's role (and his "i love all my fighters" hypocrisy) in another thread, but Mikey was happy to go along with it, gave no protest. it was a quit. don't be a sissy. call a spade a spade.

Call it what you want. It doesn't sit well with me, cos I'd rather have seen a more legit win, but that fight was only going one way. And I think Salido deliberately headbutted him anyway out of desperation.

anyone's free to venture their opinion of where the fight was headed (interesting that the quit coincided with Salido's best period of the fight, though), but it's hardly the point.

i'll call it a quit, 'cause that's what it was.

it's not a good forbode for the future of this sport. just admit it.

Vicious headbutt with probably more to come, winning the fight by 11 points with 4 rounds left?

Yeah, fck that. I wouldn't give Salido a chance to win dirty either.

I'll call it a domination and Salido getting desperate trying to land something, no matter if it was an elbow or a headbutt.
