Ok, this may come across as a Manny bashing thread but it really isn't. When people mention Manny Pacquiao they always seem to mention how humble he is. But is he or is this just a myth?

He drives around in a Ferrari.
Floyd showed his expensive cars to everybody and burning cash for everyone to see.

Lives in a mansion.
Floyd lives in a big boy mansion.


Cheated on his wife numerous times.
Floyd cheated the mother of his children with 50 cents and Elerbe. He also beat the hell out the mother of his children in front of them. Not to mention he threw his father outa his house.

Used to be involved in c**k fights.
Floyd burning all his money in casinos, football, boxing and basketball betting.


Had sex with **********s.
Floyd didn't have sex with **********s but had sex multiple times with his macho bodyguards.


I'm sure people can add more to this but I just want to know if these are there things a humble man would do.

Pacquiao gave cooked turkey to the people.
Floyd gave frozen turkey to the homeless people with no place to cook the frozen turkey.

Now what a man does with his hard earned money is his business, I don't begrudge any man buying a sweet ride and living in a nice house.

Plenty of other fighters do the same things but you don't hear about them being called humble.

I remember also when he was going to fight Ricky Hatton, it was agreed upon that they would each get 50/50 split. At the last minute Pacquiao wanted more of a percentage than Hatton or the fight was off (as I remember it) Hatton conceded to Pacquiao's terms. Does it sound like something a humble man would to, a man who doesn't fight for money but for his fans?

Floyd wanted all the ppv money against Pacquiao and made a lot of demands just to kill the fight.

So I ask.......what makes Pacquiao so humble? Please discuss

Well let us make a comparison between Pacquiao and Floyd. Well I think, it is safe to say now that Pacquiao is more humble than Floyd.

You have an inability to relate an individuals actions to the words definition. Driving around in a Ferrari and living in a mansion is not a modest or meek reflection of Pacquiao's importance. His lifestyle does not make short of the wealth he has acquired over the years. A humble man in Pacquiao's position would live in a smaller home and drive as less extravagant car.

I don't know if he cheated on his wife but if he did it shows a lack of appreciation for the family he was blessed with. Again a Man who was truly humble would not do that as they would be satisfied with the family they had they would not feel the need to get more than they already have.

He has never tried to downplay his position in the Filipines, instead he used his fame to acquire a high political rank. ( I can't remember if the original poster mentioned that?).

He cannot be considered a humble man. I don't think that makes him a bad person it is just dishonest using the word when celebrating him as it cheapens the lifestyle of individuals who truly are humble.
