I agree with the first paragraph, but I don't agree with the second paragraph. There has been and are athletes of that caliber who are humble.

Andre Ward is also a family man and very religious or so it is portrayed but when people speak about Andre Ward the word HUMBLE is rarely mentioned.

      This is just one example.
Ward is humble and I've seen many people mention that when in talking about him.

Martinez, Marquez and Ward are humble.

Ok, this may come across as a Manny bashing thread but it really isn't. When people mention Manny Pacquiao they always seem to mention how humble he is. But is he or is this just a myth?

He drives around in a Ferrari. has nothing to do with being humble

Lives in a mansion. has nothing to do with being humble

Cheated on his wife numerous times. LIE Has nothing to do with being humble

Used to be involved in c**k fights. has nothing to do with being humble

Had sex with **********s. lie...has nothing to do with being humble

I'm sure people can add more to this but I just want to know if these are there things a humle man would do.

Now what a man does with his hard earned money is his business, I don't begrudge any man buying a sweet ride and living in a nice house.

Plenty of other fighters do the same things but you don't hear about them being called humble.

I remember also when he was going to fight Ricky Hatton, it was agreed upon that they would each get 50/50 split. At the last minute Pacquiao wanted more of a percentage than Hatton or the fight was off (as I remember it) Hatton conceded to Pacquiao's terms. Does it sound like something a humble man would to, a man who doesn't fight for money but for his fans?

So I ask.......what makes Pacquiao so humble? Please discuss

IDK what you're on about. That sounds like a total badass to me. Plus, he constantly helps uses his stature to help people in the Phillipines. If you got bad vices but still help out others, you're ok in my book.

                Viva Manny!!

Ignorant and humble are two different things and Pac is kind of ignorant.

Put it at 20 seconds of this video. The guy from HBO is telling Pac to get on his knee and pray while they film him. You need to be very cautious with the medias, they show something or a person the way they want you to see him. They made Pacquiao the religious humble guy, while Floyd is the bad immature guy.

It sells in both case, Pac because people love him and Floyd cause people want to see him loose, a fight between them would have generated so much money...
