Do you guys like Teddy Atlas?

Remember, you asked the question. No, I don't like Atlas. He talks way to much. In fact he never stops talking. During a 3 minute round of boxing he will talk 3 minutes never stopping to take a breath. He is very critical of the boxers and often questions their courage. He had a very short career as an amateur boxer so I don't think he should be so critical of fighters who have done so much. No matter how good the guys in the ring are doing Atlas always finds something wrong with the way they are fighting. I have never been impressed with his boxing knowledge.

Your right I did ask, everyones got their point of view I can respect that, but I think he's great cause he's willing to tell it like it is and call out all those that are corrupt and messing up the sport.

Teddy is good guy. Knows his sport through and through. I commend him on his efforts to try to clean up the judging of our support and get accountabilty! I talk with Teddy every time FNFs comes to Miami! great guy!

He's not bad - but he tends to over-analyze and talk too much during fights.

I'd like to see him train some good, young American fighters. He has a lot of knowledge and can pass on the finer details of the Cus D'Amato style so that they don't get lost.

yes, I've thought about that before and wished he did have a few fighters because he does carry around a lot of knowledge about the 'american' style in his head that could b passed on. maybe he does i'm not sure right now.

Maybe he goes a little overboard about scoring sometimes even when the overall decision is the correct one... but I'm glad that he's there to call out the atrocities when they really do happen.

Other than that he's always been cool with me and from what I've read he seems very charitable and reaches out to the community a lot, standup dude in the old school way, just don't cross him. i've learned a lot about how fighters think from listening to him over the years

Teddy can be a bit biased and can over analyze things too much. I like him because he's not afraid to speak his mind. He loves and cares so much for this sport that he's willing to put everything that's corrupt in boxing on blast.

This is my problem with him. He's fine on FNF, I like that he's lively and enthusiastic on there.

But watching him working a corner....is ridiculous.

A true, old-school boxing sage just does his thing, without it being all about him. Watching Atlas in the corner is just a cringe-worthy display of narcissism.

Look at the stuff he was saying to Povetkin during the Chagaev fight. Look at the way he would abuse Moorer during their time together. Trying to elevate himself as the trainer above the fighter in the narrative.

That's pathetic to me.
