I've always been a big fan. I read his book a couple weeks ago and it was as entertaining as anything I've read. He's seen and been through a lot of crazy stuff.

I met Teddy in 1979 or 80 when Cus was readying Tyson to box in the Regional Tournys. Teddy was Mikes trainer and handled him when travel was involved because Cus wasn't up to travel by then. Teddy was emersed into Mike and handled him like a blanket he was overly protective of him and back then Mike needed that! I worked corners with him for Mike because I was the Region One coach. Teddy was trained by Cus as a fighter and a trainer/cornerman and I can tell you that Teddy had his heart and soul into boxing. I think there was a time in his life when Boxing was a salvation of sorts for him!
He ALWAYS demonstrates the NEED for a State Wide.Nation Wide Commision!
Boxing could use some of the protective measures that other sports thrive off of. However you need to be very carefull "how much" power a commision could have! Boxing is a "grandfathered in" sport! Thats Good and Bad!

I like Teddy, he is intense and not appealing to everyone but no one can question his love for the sport! Ray.

Teddy Atlas' predictions on high profile fights are notoriously bad. I remember a few years back, Atlas would always pick Wladimir Klitschko to lose; it was like 5-6 consecutive of Wlad's fights where he ******ly (and maybe intentionally) picked Klitschko to lose. It was unprofessional IMO

Good stuff man, he was also talking about the gyms he has in NY and the good he does for all the youth. I gotta tell you I think I'll always be a fan, once again we need more like him.

No. It's like putting your typical ignorant racist who only wants to **** all over the sport from Boxingscene on TV. He was an embarrassment during the Olympics, and a laughing stock in Europe. Guys like that need to be put in the background.
