Why i think Canelo is a BUM.

Truth is, all of these people bashing Canelo for not fighting Kirkland, Cotto, Molina, Lara, wouldn't give him much credit for those fights because he'd be favored to win them all.

He's young and has already done more in his career than most will ever do, and more in his life than 99.9999% of us on these forums.

A greedy wbc president and eager promoters have given us plenty of reason to criticize his resume, but for a kid his age, he's way ahead of the curve.

I see your point to a degree, but I'm a dinosaur and still believe that as a champion, fight championship level contenders or give up the belt. 6 world title fights and not one credible challenger yet

Don't start with the would've with ginger. No way, don't do the well if he beat them he wouldn't have.........................so he just beat up on shot, old or small fighters,absolutely not.

If ginger fought jr welterweights (like all those other jr welterweights fought each other) he'd receive his credit. The fact is that most, if not all of the top 10 in that weight class get their props. In fact ginger seems to get more than the guys that actually compete with each other.

I agree with your post completely but put the blame on Sulaiman and GBP.

They gave him a belt and it wasn't fair for the.guys fighting their way to a title shot, to the fans, and to some extent, to Canelo. He went from being every Mexican's favorite prospect to being criticized by his own countrymen, let alone everyone else.

Canelo is tired of the hate and is pushing for fights against good fighters. There's a decent chance that having that belt could cut his career short if he rushes into fighting people in their primes when he may still be years away from his.

So he finally is gonna start fighting who he was supposed to. Well only when he does that will he get credit. The garbage before that point deserves no props.

Canelo is nowhere near being a Bum, but GB does need to step up the competition. Hopefully the Trout fight goes thru so he can start to shut some of the critics
