So, was Cotto washed up all year or only after Trout beat him?

so you are evaluating the move based on who they fought afterwards. come on bush thats ****ing ridiculous.

Now the point about the division between them is valid, but its still the exact same thing. SRL brought duran up from LW while the ww champ and fought him. Floyd brought JMM up from LW while he was the ww champ.
No, that's what you're trying to twist. Marquez had no business at 147. For Floyd & Pacman to make him come 2 weight classes north when either could have made 140 is not the same as SRL & Duran at 147 because Duran was effective well beyond the weight class. No matter how you try, the comparison is ****** & holds no merit.

well floyd couldn't make 144 so to say he could make 140 is not factual. Duran's future action niether justifies nor mitigates the situation. They are the same tthing its just you have an agenda so you pretend otherwise.

We have gotten way off topic.

Keep on digging a hole for yourself & the guy you defend. Yes, you're right. Floyd couldn't make the 144 catchweight he offered against a lightweight. Cheap, cherrypicked w in short.

Duran's future action just proves the camparison is redundant. Add to that the fact Duran beat SRL 1st, further seperates the comparison. It's just an all around bad comparison, period.

If you say so. Two people do the same thing and you differentiate it by what happens years down the road. Face it, SRL does it your ok with it. Floyd does it and you have a problem with it. Then you say I'm defending him. No, I'm asking you what kind of rational person evaluates the actions differently.

So if JMM fights at JMW and MW then its not a cherrypick. yeah that makes sense.

Cotto isnt washed up, but he can no longer be a top level fighter. Granted the Margarito fight took alot out of him, but so did all those other hard fights he was in againts Judah, Pac and Clottey. He just needs to call it quits if he isnt willing to go down to 147.

Does this mean that after Trout beats Canelo, Canelo is washed up?... or would it mean that he was protected and finally exposed?

How come Trout can't get any respect around here? The guy has always been good to me at the sportsbook.

Its not that Trout dont get any respect, but he clearly doesnt have a good following yet thats all..its still early in his career, the only real name he beat was Cotto. No one knows who will win if Canelo fights Trout..If Canelo wins then it will be good for him, it will be his 1st real legit 154 pounder he beat, and if he looses then the rumors were true..he was just a big hype job.

It's not the same, no matter how much you try, it's a ****** comparison. Duran came up to the next weight from 135 & beat him, lost the rematch & went on to higher weight classes. Marquez has no business at 147 & won't go any higher period. Bad bad comparison.
