It was 2 years, Floyd fought Mosley on May 1st 2010, Canelo fought Mosley on May 5th 2012.

Floyd won't be fighting in September. That's only four months away from May. You gotta be an idiot to believe that crap coming from an inactive boxer. It's a ploy to make people buy the Guerrero fight. Just like when he said he'll be fighting five more times when he was promoting Cotto.

Alvarez has beaten NOBODY of any consequence yet. Mathew Hatton, Ryan Rhodes, Kermit Contron, shot Mosley, and little 140 Lopez, go directly to Mayweather, do no pass go? Those names are supposed to convince me that this is a fight worth seeing? F0ck no. We need to see him beat a decent opponent before he gets the p4p king. Guerrero might not win pretty, but he is proven against tough competition and it's clear he has shown he has a metal toughness and will to win a fight like this. Canello is popular because he's a novelty with some potential talent. He won't go near Lara or Trout because they are too threatening without being big draws. I realize he is 22, but he has not had a steady climb in competition at all.

I am pretty sure Canelo would ko Guerrero and Canelo would be much more of a threat to beat Floyd than Guerrero would. Still Guerrero did earn his shot at Floyd's WBC welterweight tittle by beating two rated welterweights and becoming the WBC welterweight regular champ with Floyd being the WBC welterweight super champ. The Guerrero fight is Floyd's next fight so I look forward to that. Canelo will be fighting someone else on the same show.Time will tell if Floyd fights Canelo in September. That is not a sure thing.
