also embarrassing to hear people say he's "great". listening to his fans one would think he's a world beater

If you don't like Canelo, there is Trout. He's available.

I dont want to see either. Would rather floyd fight bradley, manny coming of a ko or even alexander. If I had to choose probably canelo. I might go to an ALE house to see floyd- alvarez but sure as hell wont pay for it. If its the ghost I'll catch it a week later on hbo.

            I do, yes.

I think they have a clear plan which is Guererro in May and Canelo in September.

I think everyone involved knows this is the plan.

We're almost on the same page here. While Guerrero is far more proven and better p4p, fights aren't fought p4p. And h2h I think Canelo is more of a threat than Guerrero, as he should be vs a guy that started at 126. As impressive as Guerrero was against Berto, IMO he underwhelmed against Aydin, who is fringe and very small at welter. I think Canelo runs through Rob and his opponents h2h, but I'd rather not have him rewarded for such craven matchmaking.
Well, I have to give the Ghost a pass for the Ayudin fight. Especially concerning the rumors around his strength & the fact that the Ghost was coming off a near 2 year layoff & 2 weightclass jump.

Personally I don't even think ginger has that much of a size advantage over Floyd considering he's not much taller than 5-7. Granted ginger's been at 154 for a few years now, still the fact remains he's done nothing against the 154lbers in the division. So therefore there is no way to tell how he'll actually perform against a real 154lb fighter.

Furthermore I think even Angulo would stop him should they fight. If we're being honest every shot fighter, old man & jr welterweight laid leather on ginger, what would happen if & when someone with Angulo's proven power, a real 154lb fighter connects on that ****** chin??

It's a lot easier to look good against sub par opposition, especially if those guys are a few weight classes below.

LMFAO at Canelo being more skilled then Guerrero.....HAHAHAHA

Sadly this thread shows your how PATHETIC some boxing fans have become, they are now wrapped up into the hype, forget what goes on the ring, forget about earning things and fighters proven themselves, they would much rather be TOLD what or who is good by the promoters and networks

I am literally laughing at the hype for Canelo's Power but yet in his Last Fight in seen a ***in Light Welterweight get up 3 Times from his so called "POWER"

So no question not only is Guerrero more Proven and more battled tested but he is also way more versitile of a boxer in the ring...Sure Canelo looks faster when a guy is standing right in front of him, sure he can get off combos when a guy is standing right in front of him! If Canelo want respect then EARN IT! Sorry I can't give it to you because Oscar De La Hoya tells me your "THE NEXT BE THING" but yet when I see him in the ring, I am just not all that impressed, even against Weaker Competition...now if he man up and fight Trout, Lara, Molina, Vanes then yeah he will get his respect because to be honest that is what he should have been doing while waiting for Mayweather and in return that would have made him a better fighter and more prepared for Mayweather

Amen. I am genuinely surprised myself at the more reasonable posters saying ginger is more skilled than the Ghost.

                    He isn't faster.
                    He isn't smarter.
                    He is less athletic.
                    He is less proven.

The only advantage that ginger has over the Ghost is his size. But quite frankly the beating the Ghost gave Berto showed more about the ghost than any of gingers 41 fights combined.

All top SWWs are lining up to fight this guy, so far don't apply if you're not a welter. Would anyone be shocked if it's Maidana next?
He's 22 years old. The tests are coming. Everyone can't be Salvador Sanchez by the age of 23.
