other than Tim Austin and Mark Johnson, who has this Rafael Marquez beaten? he's a ****ing bantamweight, right? I'm sure it's very tough to remain on top of a weight class NO REAL FIGHTERS CAN COMPETE IN

and JMM, I think we all know why this **** doesn't deserve to be top 10 p4p. he gets his ass handed to him by Pacquiao, gets a draw cuz two of the judges **** up crucially, and fights nobody else since Peden and Gainer. impressive!

What you guys should realize is that the high majority of these reporters/writers have no more knowledge than most of you on this board and some of you have a MUCH better grip on what is really going on. They just get paid to write their opinion..but that certainly doesnt mean that are experts and I think some of them have gotten carried away with the thought that they are boxing insiders and gurus or something. Most of them do not know very much about boxing other than insider business end info, stats etc.

                Iceman,

I have a great deal of respect for you as a former fighter and writer, but your comment reeks of jockocracy. People can have legit opinions on Boxing without being a fighter or former fighter. I was not good enough to be a professional pugilist. I tried and trained but didn't have the skill. I've taken a few punches in my day. I love Boxing and have studied/followed it since I was eight. Does that mean that someone "knows" Boxing better becuase they competed at the highest level?..or close to it? I think not.

Dan Rafeal was mentioned on this thread. I don't agree with half of what he says, but that doesn't mean he isn't knowledgable about Boxing. He is paid to follow it and must have some insight...right?

I guess I get tired of former fighters saying that nobody knows **** unless they are fighters....not true in my opinion.

no disrespect intended, just my opinion

Now za is fighting "whats his name" and don has **** to say. he tore into castillo for not making weight but said nothing about corrales mouth piece insident. he is such an idiot, not because he gives his opinion but because he is a HYP.

He stole Maussa away from Floyd and took his belt and unlike Floyd, Hatton is poised to close his career with some mega promotions.

Zab is fighting a mandatory to set up his mega bouts in 2006. Get over it, but more importantly, try to start paying attention and maybe you'll have a shred of credibility one day.
first of you dont know how far my knowledge about boxing goes so shut the hell up. rafael is an idiot and if u read some of the other messages on this thread you will see im not the only one that thinks so. can i ask you this do you ever have your own opinion or do you just go with what refael says. "Floyds jocksniffers" WOW thats a good one rafael help you with that one?? anybody here will tell you that floyd has beat better fighters than hatton and zab combined. maussa was a good move for hatton? if you knew anything you would know that floyd called out hatton and hatton said that he was not ready to fight him. and know theres talk about hatton vs gatti a guy who just lost to mayweather. and i belive pbf is fighting zab, if zab beats whats his name. so who is he avoiding?

nah Scully is right. A lot of these guys obviously don't know much about boxing. I think they wanted to be sports writers and some of them its almost like they got stuck covering boxing. Scully didn't name names. He said a lot of boxing writers, he was being general.

Merchant is a hateful little old *****. All he does is complain about how ****ty 90% of the matches are when they're usually actually good. Like Judah vs. Corley, Mayweather fights, etc. If it isn't a wild ass brawl, Merchant disses it.

Max Kellerman is my favorite boxing personality. He's definitely by far the most positive boxing analyst out there. Anybody else getting bad mouthed as much as Kellerman would have retaliated by now. He's just ignored it all and done his thing. I know a lot of boxing writers hate him because he got on ESPN very young. Oh well, he earned it. Sour g****d haters.
