Merchant should die or retire already. Don't really care which one, as long as I don't have to see him. Wish John Ruiz would do us all a favor and knock Merchant out...of life. Then we'd get rid of Ruiz and Merchant at the same time. Ruiz also needs to take out Arum, Dibella, King, Shaw, Finkel, Goose, Kushner, all promoters besides Oscar, Jose Suliman, Mrs. Muhammad, and the WBA chairperson.

It don't matter what Rafael says, he still knows more about boxing than you will ever sniff at.

Everyone but Floyd's jocksniffers have given him hell over his reluctance to face the best the past few years. Beating Maussa was a good move for Hatton. He stole Maussa away from Floyd and took his belt and unlike Floyd, Hatton is poised to close his career with some mega promotions.

Zab is fighting a mandatory to set up his mega bouts in 2006. Get over it, but more importantly, try to start paying attention and maybe you'll have a shred of credibility one day.

I know larry Merchant is not as sharp as he once was, but he does carry with him a certain cache and credibility from years of good work. My only complaint is that his commentary at times seems quite dated.
