Finally someone with sense....its amazing how people are saying Floyds only fights are 170 lb dudes....Floyd cant even get to 154...if Martinez comes down that far and Floyd wins....people will just say because the weight drain. The Manny loss sucks right now.

Try watching his career, several of his move up fights, the opponent was bigger, with no catchweight requirement....I'm not a huge Mayweather fan, but this is the kind of bs hate that is pitiful

Even in the lower weights he fought guys far bigger (Corrales? Castillo?) but, to me, as long as you take on the best available opponents in your division, I'm fine with that.

I had thought Martinez's camp said that he was done fighting at 154?

            Martinez is ducking Ward.

That not true...Ward is on record (google it) saying he would go down to 160 to fight Martinez. Ward started his professional career at 160...Mayweather is not a career 154 (2 fights), you can now call Martinez a career midleweight.

It more of a challenge to fight up than moving down to fight smaller guys.

                Ward never say that,
Sampson Lewkowicz, adviser to former two division world champion Sergio Martinez (49-2-2, 28KOs), is not ruling out a potential fight with WBA/WBC super middleweight king Andre Ward (26-0, 14KOs) - if Ward moves down to 160-pounds. There is absolutely no chance of Martinez moving up in weight to fight Ward at 168, says Lewkowicz to BoxingScene.com.

It's definitely not a big money fight. Martinez would bring in more money than Guerrero at this point.

tweeted last month that a move down to 160 pounds for a big-money fight "would be tough, but not impossible. But very tough!"
