True. He's had a reach advantage over the majority of opponents he's ever faced. It's a pity, but it's just not in Floyd's nature to take a risk. Very few great fighters will have a legacy as devoid of great fights as he has. And it's great fights that make great legacies.

I think its the best fight out there and probably the biggest money behind maybe a pacquiao fight for him but he will never do it. I dont see why guerrero is even discussed if money is always an issue with him doesnt seem like a big money fight

I've seen people compare it's legitimacy to Pacquiao when he fought Clottey. Same ole same ole.

We want Floyd to be given a legit challenge. So what if he fights Sergio Martinez (at 154) in September? THEN I wouldn't mind him fighting someone like Guerrero or Bradley so much on May 4th. Because I know that it'd basically be his sorta "tune up" in preparation for the skilled, hard hitting p4p fighter in Sergio Martinez. I don't know ANYONE who would knock a Sergio Martinez fight, not even the Floyd haters.

The luster hasn't died down just yet, in fact I read an article stating that Martinez said he wants Floyd after Murray. The Murray fight is in April so that leaves him enough time for Floyd in September.

Do you think Floyd will show any interest in fighting Sergio Martinez?

Do you think Floyd should fight Guerrero/Canelo in May, and Martinez in September?
I'd like to see it, but this whole notion of Martinez coming down to 154 is just wrong. Its hard enough to come down in weight, but even harder with advancing age. The guy is right at the end of his career and has been campaigning at 160 for years now. A fight at LMW therefore has lost a lot of kudos(it wont have in the mindset of the floydiot, but they dont do the real world). If he fights Sergio at 160 and wins another lineal title at one of the original weight classes then it will be the greatest achievement of his career and one of the great feats in the history of the sport.

Greatness is there for the taking, and it will be a damn sight better than an embarrasing match up against Bradley or god forbid Guerrero. It'll be a massive task, but if anyone could actually pull it off, then it would be Floyd.

Would love to see it at 154. Silly to go to 160 when he can barely hit 151. 154 is perfect (no catchweight, please) and would cap off his career nicely, win or lose.

Martinez is most likely going to be ineffective at 154 now, he will have to kill himself to make it. He's 38 and hasnt fought at that weight for four years.

I don't agree. I think he can make 154. Besides, if we're using that logic then they shouldn't fight at all. Floyd can't even get to 154 so the idea of making the fight at 160 would make him ineffective as well, especially at 36.
