Definitely not a star making performance. What it did though was put people on notice who have been sleeping on Trout and based all their knowledge from Trout off the Rodriguez fight. Which is actually why I made a crapload betting on this fight, so thank you to all who underestimated Trout.

He's too passive for that. I agree with the Winky Wright comparison in a way.

definitely not enough. He won but It was a pretty lackluster fight, he only hurt Cotto maybe one or two times. He did demonstrate defensive prowess as he was able to avoid a lot of shots on the ropes and when he did get hit he almost always rolled with the punches to deflect damage. Still that's not particularly TV friendly, he didn't really put on a boxing clinic, just landed a couple more than Cotto in every round. I don't think the promoters are too thrilled that he won, let's put it that way

Only a strong showing against Canelo can get him some casual hype. I want to see him again. I wouldnt mind seeing him square off with Martinez.

time will tell, its a huge win for trout i think hell be bigger than bradley and he stays with the good guy route instead of the mayweather persona

Trout didn't do anything star making. He won. His lack of passion transfers to his audience.

Naw I don't think so mostly because he will become an avoided fighter because of his Size and Style

I love watching masterful boxers but the casuals don't so no he won't become a "SUPERSTAR" but I could see him being a Top P4P Fighter and dominating that 154 Division (against the fighters who are willing to fight him)

                    Respectively disagree.

I thought he looked fantastic. If he can stay that exciting and keep winning, he'll make some fans.
