Showtime passed up on a ton of talent...infact in order to compensate for it they've overpaid on some fights just to lure them away from HBO.

The hell? You saying they skimped on getting seasoned commentators because they wasted a ton of dough on fights that weren't worth it?

I had picked Cotto to win and thought he had a chance of winning by KO. But I think I'm in the minority here - I didn't give a single round to Cotto in this fight. After the fight his actions were disappointing when he left the ring as he did. Trout really rose up to the occasion and made me a fan tonight.

He's the big payday? what's the most Canelo has made for a fight?..cause I tell you one thing he's not fought anyone worthy of paying him over $10 million to watch him fight..in fact most of his fights are paid cable fights..those aren't at more than 2.5 million in purse. When the facts are laid out it isn't so ****** my friend..just like every other boxer before him Canelo needs a big name across from him with a ppv history who ppl feel can give him a good challenge to become a ppv superstar..

Canelo is making far more tha 2.5 mil I cant stand talking about what fighters make,its ******, but Canelo is THE attraction at 154 nobody else, you could say the "name " fighter at that weight class now love a it or hate is Canelo , nobody else. Martinez has just fought for his 1st time on ppv and even then less people know who he is than Canelo, gayweather were still waiting for him to fight a 140-147 lber in Manny so his "154" lb status is something nobody even takes seriousley especially latley I mean afterall would Mayweather face a top 154 or 160 guy? ?? Exactley. NO HELL NO. he wont even fight Manny for Chrissakes.Canelo right now is the fight all these dudes want to land, wether hes great or not doesnt matter hes the star in that weight class nobody else.

How Can Canelo be looking for a big payday when he IS the big payday??? where do people get this ****** shiat? trout,lara,vanes,and even martinez is looking for a big payday,and fact is they are much older than Canelo is, sure Canelo is being handled but since he is the main attraction at that weight and his age can you blame his promotors??? besides he may not beat all those guys but he just may,this whole idea that he needs to be protected isnt completley true none of those dudes fight well enough to make Canelo the underdog not even Martinez, now Im not here to say Canelo is the second coming or Robinson he isnt , but those ther dudes just have shown far more weakness and liabilities...in the next year they will let Canelo loose and we'll see the truth whatever it may be.

In no way shape or form am I a canelo hater..let's get that out of the way but you can't find any documentation stating he has. The best paid fighters on HBO and Showtime have never made more than 2.5 million for a fight..Canelo earned a career high for fighting lopez and that was 2 million dollars. So again how is he the big payday? Lopez only made 212k. Miguel Coto earned a report 8 million total for fighting Mayweather..probably made 1/4 of that tonight..Miguel Cotto fought tonight for 1 million on Showtime..Cotto's fight with Mayweather was $8 million...because it was ppv. As far as Money and Pacquaio I have discussed that for 3 years to death. You say he's the fight everyone wants to land, yes and no..PPV yes but basic cable? Nope..nobody wants to earn a few hundred K fighting this kid.

You have to show me where he schooled Martinez. Video or something? But it's a totally different ball game come fight night and no way would I pick Trout over Martinez in an actual match up.

I don't own the footage, but I believe it was briefly talked about in one of Austin's interviews when people were not paying him much attention. I also tried to warn people about Guerrero after he put a beating on Pac in a sparring session. I know that things are different come fight-night;however, it does indicate a certain level of skill.

I wouldnt be so sure ,JCC jr came soo close to scoring one of the most epic Ko's of all time in the MOST important round in boxing the 12th and final round that was NOT luck,if it was luck it was for Martinez that he survived, aginst a disciplined and fresh fighter Like Canelo things very well and can likley play out differentley I mean look at it this way even in a win Martinez walked away with broken bones,ligaments, stitches and staples and on top of that very miraculousley survived a near ko loss,is it soo far fetched Canelo whups him??? no hell no again Martinez is a serious fighter the guy REP AND skillwise to beat but nonetheless very beatable.A difference of opinion yes we all have ours but ill take a kid with very precise attacks ,ko power ,speed,righthanded,relentless, over a 40 yr old whom barley survived against JCC jr.And ill be honest I picked Jcc jr.

Man...one punch in one round does not make up for getting demolished for 35 minutes of a 36 minute fight.
