Exact same feelings here, although I thought that 119-109 was wide. Farhood and the 2 judges who had it 117-111 were right on the mark, I felt. But, that may be because I scored it 117-111 as well.

I wonder if Trout will finally get signed to a real promoter now

Anyone else find it hilarious that Malignaggi had Cotto ahead on his card until the last round or so? I thought he really knew how to score em, but apparently not. Either that or he felt scoring it for Trout would knock him down a notch, I mean seeing a guy who thoroughly beat him having his socks boxed off.

Malignaggi shouldn't be scoring diddly squat, he got away with one in his last fight..the last person who should be talking about scorecards is him..

Hahaha, nicely put man. The Cano scoring didn't even occur to me. But do you think he is just terrible at scoring or he was trying to pull a classic commentator, audience swaying scorecard with bogus reasoning behind it?

He was pulling for Cotto as was the other announcer..they were announcing shots we clearly saw cotto missed as landed shots..after the 6th round I had to mute them..folks here complain about Lampley and the others on HBO but damn if Showtime's team isn't flat out horrible and the 99cent versions of announcers.

I'm a little surprised that people thought Cotto would take this. I love Cotto as a fighter (though the walk out was b.s.) but the man is far too short for a jmw who will undoubtedly end his career at mw.
I think mayweather beats Trout by a wide ud in a similar manner to this fight. May is far smarter and slicker with way more experience and still better speed. Trout will not fight Mayweather (or visa versa) because there is no money in it for Money and no hope for Trout. Trout should fight any name jmw he can get to stay in the public eye. Slaughter some Pero or Kirkland ads if Canelo keeps ducking 154lb fighters.
