At 154 I think the real biggest threat is Keith Thurman..that dude is like a jr George Foreman..I would love to see Canelo vs Thurman..

He has what Cotto needed, Cotto had great mental toughness and a great game plan if he could execute those he has the physical tools Cotto lacked.
I agree with you. I think Canelo is the toughest fight for Floyd because of his physical capabilities. Hes younger and punches harder. I still think Floyd would win but Canelo could make it interesting during the first half of the fight. But I think Floyd would make it a fight on the inside. Floyds defense, elbows, and ability to land clean effective punches on the inside is what will win the fight.

So he would fight Canelo at 154 over Martinez... I'd call that a cherry pick. He would rather fight a dude who he can counter all day over the SOUTHPAW who can match him speed for speed and reflexes for reflexes, basically athleticism for athleticism. Definitely a cherry pick.

Last I checked Martinez next fight is at 160 for the 8th time in a row. Lets not pretend like Martinez is a 154 pounder hes not.

Martinez said he would fight him at 154 so what's the problem?
