It would be interesting to see Froch with Ward again. I mean I know what's almost certainly going to happen, but Froch would never have experienced anything like that before and it would be interesting to see if he learned from it.

The only way of knowing if Froch has improved is seeing him deal with that sort of situation again. Watching him beat up Yusaf Mack doesn't tell you a whole lot.

He's improved, he's throwing much better offensive assualts now.

Would it be enough to beat Ward? Probably not, no. He remains special.

Pretty unanimous in here that Ward beats Froch in rematch.

Ward is a tank and as has been said Froch can't really beat him unless he knocks him out. A fact Froch realised AHEAD of their fight.

I can't even imagine Ward getting knocked out. But conceivably Froch is just about the only guy from 168-175 that has any chance of doing it but it's not like he could put him away with just one bingo punch either. Ward seems like the type that could be severely hurt and nobody in the arena knows except him.

I genuinely don't think Ward will ever lose.

Especially considering that he took little damage in the fight. He learned the taste of legitimate, undeniable defeat and his entire skillset (and/or lack thereof) was exploited. He surely learned a lot about himself, Ward, and what it takes to get to that next level. Does he get to Ward's level? No, but that wasn't the question.

            Agreed on all counts.

I may be in the minority, but i would love to see Froch and Dirrel thrown down again and see whats changed. I had Dirrel winning that fight but Im not so sure he could take Froch again. Froch has improved his range, defense and skills.

You couldnt really see the defensive improvements tonite cuz he didnt care what mack brought.

If he never leaves home maybe, but I think ward's willing to challenge himself vs the best it seems (unlike some other currently semi active undefeated fighters), which means he will probably lose at some point. I dont think he'll lose at 168 ever.

LOL....Froch was already past his prime when he faced Ward...

You Bridiots know he just beat a C Level fighter in his safe haven, right?

I think Pascal has a bigger chance because he's faster and more athletic than Froch, Ward would have a harder time seeing his punches coming.

Blasphemy! Dirrell doesn't deserve a rematch even though he lost a disputed decision but Froch deserves a rematch with Ward despite getting outclassed.

froch is a good fighter but he doesnt have the athleticism to go further than he already has. his hand speed and foot movement is average so he will always come unstuck against a great athletic boxer like ward.

I don't. It was a close fight that really could have been a draw as well. I'm all for slick boxing, but when you start to teeter the line of being a "runner" then you don't prove anything in my book by winning on points. I thought Dirrel was looking to win a "stinker" until Froch made the fight dirty. Only then did the fight actually become, remotely, worth watching.
