Is it possible that Froch has hit his true prime after Ward?

if you want to see he has improved then fine...OK he has improved...but I think you will be disappointed if he fights Ward again and you find out "YES IT WAS THE LEVEL OF COMPETITION" and it wasn't so much that Froch has improvedComment

Because the Kessler fight was a close fight and it Nottingham Froch would have gotten that decision

I think that it is likely that Froch has improved, because he got outclassed in the Ward fight and I find it hard to believe that he didn't learn quite a bit about himself from that loss.
With that said, Ward is on a different level than Froch is. Froch's only REAL chance of beating Ward is to catch him, and hurt him. Unfortunately for Froch, Ward's style is precisely based on preventing that from happening. Froch isn't winning a boxing match with Ward. His only real shot is to KO or score a bunch of knockdowns. Possible, but unlikely.
I think this is no shame to Froch. From where I am sitting, it sure looks like Ward is on his way to an ATG status career.
I think, who ever beats Ward is going to either come in throwing EVERYTHING, going for broke, and catching ward early. The only other way I see it happening is if someone comes in with more tools in their arsenal than the current crop. Martinez has the tools, just not the size. I tell you what though... if Martinez went up to 168 and beat Ward in Oakland - he would be a slam dunk ATG IMO.
Side note:
Froch and Kessler fought to a draw. I honestly haven't seen a clearer case for a draw since Pwill-Martinez I (which really, should have been a draw).Comment

I get your point, but Mack has fought plenty of world class guys. He just loses to them.Comment

It's not entirely impossible, case in point Evander Holyfield: He was in his supposed prime around the late 80's and early 90's, but he elevated to another sort of prime during the mid 90's against TYson.
I will actually favor the mid 90's Holyfield over the early 90's Rid**** Bowe.
his true prime, huh?
the fact that he was in with a guy who very well could be the best p4p fighter on the planet had nothing to do with it?Comment
