I agree that it was a terrible fight...and Wlad was a big part of it...But to be honest I really do believe that the problem with Wlads fights is that no one is creative enough to do anything with him...

They come in and fold.....What was Povetkins game plan? Rush in and hold? Rush in and hold? He never tried throwing body punches or to get out of the clinch.

His opponents play a big part in making Wlad fights pinche dreadful.

povekin was never gonna throw combinations because he himself is not a good heavyweight & wlad was basically resting on his back...........

Wlad notoriously hold your head down and leans on your neck because he is tired himself. This was a pathetic performance. He got the win, but he does not rank with the best. The heavyweight comp is just down right average these days. Props to Povetkin for lasting the distance.

I do agree that Povetkin had a decent idea but he executed it very poorly. He was pressing in but it was very reckless he needed to come in quick but under control so he would not smother himself and work from there making Wlad reach for the clinch, he really just burst in allowing Wlad to just easily wrap himself up then did little work.

Wlad certainly played the spoiler but Povetkin did himself no favors in stopping that.
