Martin Murray isnt a nobody imo he beat Sturm although got the draw, he has a good ranking in all the organisations and is unbeaten.

He's good enough to be mixing it at world level and could give Martinez a tough fight. Good opportunity for Murray if it happens and a good fight for Martinez he isnt getting any younger.

I'm extremely confident that after this fight it will either be Quillin, Golovkin, Cotto or Canelo, watch.
It's not just Murray. No one cared when he fought Darren Barker either, but they rip Pacquiao for Bradley or Mayweather for Ortiz and Cotto. It's completely unfair.

He's just going through the British middleweights?

        McEwan next?

Martinez is levels above Murray, it's going to be a beatdown. Macklin/Barker/Murray, these names do nothing for Martinez - he's wasting his remaining days on easy fights when he should be building a legacy.

          Martinez wanted to fight Mayweather.

Yeah I didn't respect that decision either, as much as I like Martinez I'm annoyed that he feels he's entitled to fight Mayweather, Cotto but chooses to campaign at 160, I literally don't understand the guy at times. Lara called him out, Martinez should have at least moved down, beaten Lara so that his options would have been more viable. In this case though, I can't really blame him here.

He keeps saying he wants Mayweather. If he does, sitting at 160 fighting Martin Murray isn't how to do it. He keeps saying he'll go down, that he's small, that he can make 154 and will for Floyd, but he doesn't actually do it.

If he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather, move down and fight someone. Prove it.

Plenty of fights for Martinez at 168 if he's brave enough.

Goddammit. Looks like a typical homecoming soft touch. I hope Murray loses his next fight because there's no way HBO will approve the other guys. If Trout beats Cotto, that would make more sense.
Where the hell does Kerry Hope come from? Martin Murray is the "worst" opponent that I'll accept, anybody lower is very disappointing.

If there's no certainty that he'll get Mayweather/Cotto/Canelo, then there's no point in traveling down. He's found a niche for himself at 160 and shouldn't mess with that. He's now the guy being chased, and as such, he has some control over the situation.

He's a Welsman who's claim to fame is taking Proksa's '0'. A decent European level fighter who has no business in the ring with someone like Martinez, however, if they're mentioning Spada...
