Lara was running around like a little princess... dirty fighter... low blow, chokehold, headbutt... he shouldve stayed in the amateurs.. he wonders why noone gives a flying **** about him, its because he dances like a little *****... vanes won the fight and forced the action while lara resorted to bicycling and dirty tactics...
im just pissed this didnt go to the championship rounds so vanes could expose this foo with his far superior conditioning and stamina... lara got lucky his dirty headbutt caused a huge gash... i hope lara never gets another fight on hbo

First off that cut STOPS any fight! One more bit a damage to the skin and it may not heal correctly underneath, fact! You heard Roy Jones announce it as soon as he saw it and I'm a good cutman in my day and that cut stops the bout everytime!
Second off if those young men are the top 154lb divisions best I hate like hell to see the worst and I'm waiting for the thread that declares one or both the p4p Greatest!!!
Lyrica or whatever his name is should get 10% of his pay to cover his managements expenses, thats it!
The other young man came to fight and tried his best but he never "saw" a southpaw before, obviously I guess!!!!!
I need to see what that HBO is costing because the boxing isn't cutting it!
no pun intended!!!Stunk! Ray.
Vanes Martirosyan is about a 3-1 underdog entering his fight against Erislandy Lara tonight in Las Vegas. That perceived disadvantage leaves little room for Martirosyan to make the mistake of overlooking Lara. The 2004 American Olympian is well aware, however, of what could await him if he is able to win what must be considered the biggest fight of his seven-year pro career. The Armenian-born boxer from Glendale, Calif., could secure a shot at unbeaten WBC 154-pound champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez if he can conquer one of the most skillful southpaws in boxing in their 12-round, WBC elimination match (HBO; 9:45 p.m. ET/PT).
“I love fighting southpaws,” said Martirosyan, who at 6-feet tall owns a four-inch height advantage over the 5-8 Lara. “I’ve always liked fighting southpaws. Even in the amateurs, any southpaw I faced I beat or I dropped. Skill-wise, [Lara] has that Cuban style. I’m kind of used to that style. I sparred with a lot of guys who were similar to his style, so I’m well-prepared. I know his style is tough, but we’re ready for anything.”
I fought a lot of southpaws in the amateurs and in the pros, also,” Martirosyan said. “That experience was great and now that I’m fighting one of the best southpaws in the world I get to use those skills against Lara. I know I’m going to come out victorious.”Comment
