Um seeing as it doesnt say 'junior welterweight', id say that was me saying he was a welterweight... I also stated several times that Id match him up at welterweight...
Tell me though, if Pac and Mayweather fought right now at a catchweight 144lbs who would make weight and who wouldnt?Comment

Wait, Mayweather didn't look good in the Cotto fight? A stan would make that statement, I can't take you seriously.Wait there wasnt any fight night weigh in for the Cotto fight? "Mayweather is on record" doesnt cut it im afraid as he has vested interest being that it makes his win look better, and is an excuse as to why he didnt look as good in this fight...
How was Floyd when he weighed in for the Marquez fight? compared to Paquiao? These guys are different sizes. Pac is 2 inches shorter with a 5 inch reach disadvantage and has a visibly smaller frame.
again not having a pop at Floyd, great boxer, my p4p no.1 for many years with Pac a fraction behind until recently when Pac has gotten visibly older...
Oh and I do train to box btw, my question was meant more as a rhetorical childish insult to be honest i apologise!
Either way, the double standard is alive and well.Comment

Well, you did say that he wasn't a legit welterweight.Um seeing as it doesnt say 'junior welterweight', id say that was me saying he was a welterweight... I also stated several times that Id match him up at welterweight...
Tell me though, if Pac and Mayweather fought right now at a catchweight 144lbs who would make weight and who wouldnt?
They each would. Mayweather could have made '46 for Marquez, but he opted not to because a catchweight isn't a legit class.Comment

sorry, didnt look as good as usual...
and to the bolded bit, seriously?! Just because im not blindly obsessed with Floyd doesnt make me a hater. I call it how i see it.
So who could make 144lb and who couldnt between the two?Comment

Haha and im the stan? If he didnt want to fight at a catchweight, then why sign to fight at a catchweight??
And the catchweight for marquez was 144 he came in over that... Pac came in at 143 against Marquez.Comment

Too bad the contract was changed a few days before the fight in order to allow Mayweather to weigh-in at the welterweight limit without facing a fine from the NSAC.
Again, it's not that he couldn't make the weight, he just didn't care to do it. This doesn't strengthen your argument at all, in fact, you're moving the goal posts. If you're complaining about Mayweather not fighting the best competition at '54, then you can't be in this thread saying pacquiao is a small welterweight when his last bout was at '47 and four of his last five have been at '47 or higher.Last edited by deejd; 11-05-2012, 04:01 PM.Comment
