Bias in Boxing

Bull title or not, pacquiao held a '54 lb. belt. If anything, for you to believe he is an incredible fighter is fanboyism in it's own since you just called his 8th division a farce. That where the standards are set pertaining to this thread; it's a clear bias that you have.

Im sorry because i believe he ONLY won world championships in 7 weight classes, lineal in 4, and that makes him incredible, that makes me a fanboy?? In what world?

Pac moved straight back down after his victory in the 154lb division, and if i remember rightly at the time he was widely hated on for not fighting other fighters at 154 after he won the 'title'.

Now floyd has the title and people want to see him fight the best, is that unreasonable? If he retired now he would still be an atg hof fighter, but that doesnt mean we as fans shouldnt want to see him fight the likes of Canelo and Martinez. If he doesnt fine, if he does then great!

Mayweather has done sensational things in his career... as has Pac... I want both to continue to be in competitive matchups, Pac vs Martinez/Canelo is ridiculous. Mayweather vs those fighters isnt, because he is bigger than Pac. Not really sure what else there is to say?

Nobody is saying Mayweather shouldn't, the point of the thread is why do pacquiao and dulorme get a pass for opting not to fight the same guys that Mayweather, who if not the same size isn't much bigger than, is demanded to fight.

Mayweather's had two fights at '54 that were 5 years apart. He doesn't campaign at '54.

Why is it that Manny gets a pass on fighting Martinez, Cotto, and Canelo. And Dulorme get a pass on not want to fight at 154 but Floyd doesn't. Floyd never came in over 150 so he is small but yet people want him to fight middleweights but other guys get a pass why is this? And on the 50 and Floyd beef I think it's legit. I think it won't go far though.

because Floyd is generally viewed as the best fighter in the world. When you carry that status all bouts two weight classes under to two weight classes over are fair game

The fighters they like can do what they want and the ones they don't like get hated on for everything



Just look at a weigh in thread for any well known fighter, the people that don't like him will say he looks drained and terrified and the people that do like him will say he looks fantastic and confident

Right because even when he was ay '47 and Martinez was constantly begging for a fight against Mayweather or pacquiao, nobody was riding Mayweather about going up to '54 and even '60 to fight him.
