No ability to adjust like you mentioned.

Just not very good fighter IMO and never has been.

People always say "If only he had the dedication". I don't believe that would have made a spot of difference.

And where do they even come up with "he doesnt have dedication?"
He doesnt get fat inbetween fights and he doesnt have any known drug or alochol problems or anything. Hes been fairly active schedule wise. Theres nothing there that even says he isnt dedicated to boxing... he just isnt that smart of a fighter in the ring.

Having great speed doesnt automatically mean you are going to have the boxing mind of hopkins or JMM. Frankly I think hes done about as well as he ever was going to. Maybe he could have another win here or there but thats about it.

It is like the smart guy who can get through a portion of his life because he just gets stuff, but when he has to learn harder stuff he doesn't have the abilities to cope. people with real dedication are self starters and will drive them self even if they have great talent, Judah only has half the pie required to really reach greatness.

And unless he got hold of a different trainer that forced the right things into his game to make him better technically and defensively his dedication wouldn't have changed a thing.

And even then, he'd still be a mental midget with a not so great chin.
A different trainer would not have mattered because Judah had the talent to get by and be just fine. He would not have listened so a different trainer would have been wasted on him.

Judah didn't have the drive to constantly get better, he thought he was awesome as he was. He would have been a completely different fighter if he had that fire to be the best, he thought he was the best and that really cost him against better fighters.

I don't think that's a dedication issue I think that's more related to the fact that he was trained by his father who was a professional kickboxer. You just don't become a 5 time champion/undisputed champion if your not dedicated.

I think he could of used a more knowledgeable boxing trainer that could have taught him how to use his physical gifts to create offense and prepare better gameplans for some of his opponents.

I look at Baldomir and Spinks 1, for example. He was the superior athlete in both instances but had no idea what he wanted to do.

Disagree, you can do what Judah did on talent. There is a difference between thinking you are working hard enough and truly working to be great, Judah stopped at the former.

Yea Baldomir and Spinks 1 are signs of a guys with immense talent that didn't spend the time to truly hone his craft to the point it should have been. I don't think a trainer makes a lick of difference because Judah would have needed to take their words to heart and i don't think Judah was ever trying to hear that.

Hand speed and power can get you far in boxing...but that's all Judah had...how many times do we have to hear about his great unfulfilled talent??even when he is in terrific shape, he losses....because he is just not that good/ the others are better

Nothing happened to him... He is who he is... His faults were always there it just took a step up in comp to expose them... Weak mentality, poor stamina, subpar defense, discouraged easily.

And he was never WHOOPING floyds ass.... He was competitive and won a few early rounds. Thats it.
