But things just always kept going wrong and Judah never fulfilled his potential.
He has always had stamina issues. But he is still very good.

If he fights Garcia, I would tell Garcia to weather his first 5 rounds then jump on him. Zab is dangerous in 1-5. Especially that crazy fast uppercut with power.
If he gets pass 5 Zab will decline slowly.

For like a decade now I've been hearing how talented Zab Judah supposedly is.

I don't think he's an overly talented fighter.

Talent is the only part of being great, Judah has a ton of talent but he fell into the trap that talented people fall in he became reliant on it and when people could match him he had nothing to fall back on.

He lacked the proper dedication to the game, which would have allowed him to hone those talents into tremendous skills but he didn't put in the work needed and paid the price for.

to me that would be the problem more than his head, although Judah is certainly a front runner but that just hammers home the point guys who Judah can just out talent he can still beat but guys who can stand up to his talents and figure out his flaws will almost always beat him.

When Judah's confidence is really high, he falls back down after getting up from a flash knockdown.

He went about as far as he could. He has very good handspeed and good power at 140 but those two things alone dont make you a great fighter. Look at khan, has great speed too but also his flaws.

And "whooping floyd's ass"? give me break. He won 3 rounds with a faster jab, thats hardly whooping his ass. He won those rounds by boxing, roger told floyd to back him up and when they exchanged more is when judah started loosing.

paris is not very good. in his recent fights he got a debatable decision against shot augustus, got a split decision over some guy named juan santiago, barely beat a shot courtney burton, and got dropped and went life and death with tim coleman until he got the stoppage. looking sensational against him is like alfonso gomez looking sensational against gatti. doens't mean gomez is good.

I'm speaking more on how Judah looked, that was a great performance. Oh and Gomez didn't display anything spectacular against Gatti.

His mental issues are no secret but that's not the whole story.

He's a gifted athlete but not necessarily a gifted boxer. He had some flaws defensively could be broken down to the body and was often unsure of himself. I think his low Ring IQ and inability to adapt during the fight was more of an issue of why he folded down the stretch more so than his mental issues. Some say he was trained by his father who was a kickboxer and never received formal boxing training to polish up on some basic fundamentals.

Another issue is he fought a string of fights at welterweight for the money but he was obviously too small at that weight. His punching power wasn't as effective and that's important for an offensive minded fighter like Zab. The Cotto fight comes to mind. He landed some vicous uppercuts and had Cotto bleeding from the mouth. But other than that, Cotto walked right through his punches and was able to knock him out through accumulated punishment over the course of the fight.

But Zab is Zab. I don't think his career has been a disappointment. He's a five time champion and an undisputed champion at welterweight in spite of his flaws. He's got some very solid wins and has held is own two of the greatest fighters of this era.

judah wasn't exchanging. he wasn't even throwing punches anymore after round 5. it's like his brain melted because everytime he threw the left floyd would get hit or jump back and have to reset but judah just stopped throwing which allowed floyd to get close and beat him up.
