    Floyd Sr will boss you around, even if your a star fighter, but he made Dawson a slick BEAST. Roach will jell with you, but he cant teach you anything. Reasons why Roach suck;

    Roach was an inside fighter, but Khan lost to Pete, because Khan wasnt taught any inside abilities

    Khan has a flawed in-out amatuer style, which WORKS for him, and his speed, but Roach tried to improve his inside abilities during the WRONG fight, against a big puncher. Khan was flat footed, and pivoted while getting his combos off, which was great, except he did it against a guy who you shouldnt be fighting so close with. Bad judgement call.

    Ariza made Pac a tireless power punching phenom at ww, who walked through punches like a cyborg, yet Roach took credit for changing him when Pac's skills really didnt change at all. Which was proven against JMM

    Jorge Linares was beating Demarco until Roach told him to be more offensive minded, and cost him the fight.

    Jorge was an AMAZINGLY talented, slick, natural fighter with GREAT defensive abilities, and skills, until Roach turned him into a face first swarmer like Khan, and got him KO'd in his latest fight.

    Roach has gotten with names, and rode their wave. He never took a fighter and turned him to a beast. To me it seems like he ruined them.

      ^^ good points, I've had the same sort of perception of Roach for the past year or so, he does seem to do many of his fighters more harm than good. I think he's just pretty one-dimensional and possibly the Parkinsons is affecting his judgment and effectiveness more and more.

        I think roach is good at what he does and could really improve a fighter's offense. Like if your someone like pac who has the chin to barrage opponents then roach is good for you. Nobody is a perfect trainer that could teach you everything, from defense, to ring generalship, its really up to the fighters. Roach doesn't teach how to box on the inside but if he trains andre ward, ward would still be nightmare on the inside.

            I voted average trainer.
            Literally LOL'd at this post.

                  Duran like style??

                  Roach is a great offensive trainer, but a below average all-around trainer... His fighters have no defense, and he's terrible at strategy... If his fighter isn't already physically superior to his opponent, you see the results... JCC Jr/Martinez, Linares/Demarco

                  I'd like to see him train Berto
