I would go with Sr. on this as a coach If I had to chose somebody to teach my son but freddy is a good coach.

List the number of fighters each took to titles.

You'll find your joke with whoever has less.

I wouldn't pick either to train with. Roach because of his lack of versatility in what he can teach, his fighters have to many flaws. Sr. because the dude is a straight up ****** of the worst kind. Sr can train and knows his boxing the dude just ain't right though with his attitude.

My vote goes to average trainer

Roach is a good trainer but he has been on the decline this year. Whether that's due to his Parkinson's or his fighters lack of discipline who's to say. I will say I will always consider him a better trainer than Sr.

lol, i think the fighters in the wild card are more influenced by pacquiao than roach, i remember roach telling linares to box and keep moving, yet linares would stand and trade with demarco and try to ko him, and then he got stopped

ofcourse roach isnt a joke of a trainer, he is overrated though. imo he was never one of the best trainers out there, he is a good trainer who worked with exceptional talents.

i think floyd sr knows far more boxing and has better methods for teaching that knowledge. however his personality constantly clashes with ppl and thats whats keeping him from being one of the best.

DLH put up with it bcuz his father was even worse and he was used to it, floyd was obviously a kid following his dads instructions until he grew up.

everyone else left him for basically the same reason. they think hes too much of a dictator, too dissrespectful and craves the spotlight for himself more so than the fighter.

thats the same reaosn roach works with all the fighters he does, hes a polar oposite in that regard. very flexible and easy to get along with but imo doesnt know as much.

No he's a good trainer for certain types of fighters. Just like most trainers. They all have a kind of niche. Sr couldn't really do much with Ricky Hatton. Roach would've probably been a better fit for Hatton

                  heeeeeell no.

sr can teach any style of fighter, thats one of his greatest assets as a trainer. problem is he cant teach any kind of person, in other words he cant teach ppl who wont take his crap. sr did great work with hatton but in the pacquiao fight hatton directly ignored sr's gameplan and instructions bcuz of the friction that had developed in camp. nobody could make hatton beat pacquiao but had he listened he would have did alot better.

its the same issue big floyd has with most of the fighters who left him, the way he acts. with hatton it was showing up late and being unwilling to compromise (last ones is a common issue for sr).

Roach is an OK trainer and a great match maker, but when they run out of cherry picks their fighters get exposed as very limited and ordinary which is why Pac's looks like his declining and JR, Khan look like just hyped up bums.

do you really think khan is trained to rush in like that with his chin out?
or to throw bombs and set his feet when he's hurt?

khan's biggest flaw is his chin. it's sh#t
To be fair, roach got khan at a fairly early age, and roach never fixed any flaws

I guess if hunter does improve khan that will be saying something
