Looking at it 4 time's already......... yea you're right Judah won the 7th round, but the 9th?..... cmon how the heck can anybody give that to Zab? 6 round's a piece usually mean's a draw right? throw in a KNOCKDOWN and you have a winner IMO.

A Draw to me would have been fair also as there was some swing rounds. I didn't have any big issue with Zab getting it though for the same reason. The fight was close. Lucas was still kinda green and has fought much better since.

The Devon/Lucas fight to me felt rather one sided in Lucas's favor. I got a bitter feeling after that decision. I think I gave Devon like 5 rounds and one of those 5 could have went in Lucas's favor. So I either scored it with Lucas 3 or 5 points ahead. I cannot remember exactly though
I agree Lucas was still green. He's a way better fighter in 2012 than he was in 2010. On top of that he starts much faster and appears more confident. I really believe no one is touching him at 140 right now and it would be in Garcia's best interest to stay as far away from him as possible.

Agreed. Feeling out round. Judah looks to be in control. Lucas seems to not know what he wants to do yet. 10-9 Judah. Slow round but clear W for Judah.

Starts out as a jab off. Matthysse looking a lot more hesitant than I'm use to seeing. Does some decent body work. But again, Zab controls the round with his jab and footwork. The difference in hand speed is evident. 20-18 Judah.

Matthysse picks up the pace landing some solid jabs and straights to the body. Judah lands a vicous left uppercut towards the end of the round. Lucas smiles at him. Too little too late. Agree with you here. 29-28 Judah

Zab once again controlling the round with his jab and picking up the pace. Lands a few good counter punches. Close round but feel like Zab did the better work. Agree with you here. 39-37 Judah

Zab hooking with his jab. Again outboxing Matthysse and beating him to the punch. Matthysse still looks hesitant and is missing with a lot of his punches. Judah lands two solid lefts to close the round. Clear round for Zab. 49-46 Judah.

Nice left hand for Judah early in the round. Zab beginning to open up. Still moving effectively and using his jab to keep Matthysse off of him. Problem is he's not throwing enough power shots. Round goes to Lucas for clean, effective punching. Agree with you here. 58-56 Judah

Zab again moving away from, rolling and blocking a lot of Matthysse's shots. Again controlling the round with his jab. Beautiful counter left hand by Judah. It's a Zab round to me. Boxing very effectively Moving around, throwing the jab, picking his shots and staying out of range of Matthysse. Good display of boxing this round for Judah. Disagree with you here. Cosign Lampley and Roy. 68-65 Judah.

What more needs to be said? Judah's outboxing Matthysse, getting out of range and making him miss. He's landing his jab, and mixing it up with with some solid left hands. Agree with you here. 78-74 Judah

Again, scoring the round for Judah for ring generalship and defense. Scoring with his jab and occasionally hooking off the jab. Neither fighter is landing anything extraordinary. Judah does seem to be wearing down though. Difficult round to score but I'm giving it to Judah for reasons discussed. Got to agree with old man Ledderman. No problem with your score though.88-83 Judah

Clear Matthysse round. Nothing needs to be said. Extra point for the KD.96-93 Judah

Matthysse coming on strong. Where was this in the early rounds though?

        105-103 Judah

Another difficult round to score. Judah looks exhusted and is trying to hold on for dear life. Looks like Matthysse landed the more effective shots. Got to agree with you on round 12.

Final score 114-113 Judah Same score I had it before.
just rewatched the fight close fight

i saw the fight exactly as you did except for one round and that round was round 9

i had lucas winning that round clearly. Seems weird to me that i would agree with the reason you scored every round but the ninth. boxing is very subjective anyways with that round being the difference

        my score was

114-113 for Lucas. it wasnt a robbery but for me all the rounds were very easy to score

People put too much emphasis on "defense"

Affective defense means you avoid getting hit while hitting the other guy. If the other guy lands the harder better punches, it doesn't matter how good your "defense" or footwork is, you lose the round

and in the event that no one lands a single punch in a round but one fighter makes the other fighter look foolish missing with wide punches and keeping him off balance ?

              7-5. 114-113 Zab Judah.

I hate that this fight is called a robbery. It was very close, but it was a legit win for Judah, he outboxed Matthysse, survived, and fought the last round. 7-5 Judah. Stop calling it a robbery.
Interesting take on Round 12. When I was watching it live a lot of people had the mindset that "whoever wins the 12th round wins the fight" and it was generally split. I saw a lot of what you saw in that round but felt Matthysse landed enough shots to take it.

But I guess we ended up at the same place in the end regardless. lol

              No problem with that.

But I think the overall point stands. This was a close fight.

I had it 8 rounds to 4 for Lucas. A couple of close rounds though which i can understand people scoring differently.
