I have to agree with you on that. If Judah can sc**** by Matthysse then I won't count Garcia out in regards to beating him. I honestly don't think fighters will be able to walk through that left hook of Garcia's unfazed.

I'm not downing Matthysse as a fighter, I think he's an "ok" fighter with power. I never once said he "didn't" have power. I'm well aware that he's a power puncher. I never once said he "didn't" have a good chin. Iron? No! He was hurt by Soto in the second round, so that was a punch from a 135lb. So that also let's you know that Ajose wasn't a puncher. Matthysse is strong, but he hasn't faced fighters who are considered strong. Peterson is strong, as hell! Garcia is strong. Rios is strong. Who has he fought with equal strength? I'm not downing Matthysse, he has fought his way to a mandatory title fight. Does he win? IMO, hell no! Garcia is equally strong and is equally strong. I'll put it to you this way, Soto hurt Matthysse with a left hook, he played it off well. If Garcia touches him in a similar manner, well Lucas will probably sleep good that night. My biggest issue is that you're pumping Ajose up as a legit contender. Have you seen the competition this guy has fought?
Soto hurt Lucas you are really on that crack if you thought so, soto was a sssshhhiiittt stain after Lucas destroyed him,no one that is hurt would do that to another fighter, Lucas is a threat to any fighter at 140-147 including Garcia, Garcia is good but still needs a lot more polishing to sloppy at times

OMG! One more awful comment like that buddy and I'm reporting you. LMAO! Are you telling me their hasn't been a fighter in history to be hurt and come back and stop his opponent? Hmmm, let's see! Trinidad stopped Campas after he was dropped and hurt in the 3rd round. Hmmm, who else? Bowe stopped Holyfield in their 3rd fight after being seriously hurt in the 6th round of that fight. Who else? Hmmm, Vincent Pettway knocked out (literally) Simon Brown after he was dropped in the previous round. WTF are you talking about? And watch the fight again buddy, Soto hurt Lucas. If you had any kind of eye for boxing you would have noticed that. Tell me this, did you watch Mayweather/Cotto? In waht round did Cotto hurt Mayweather and didn't realize he had done so? Don't worry I'll wait. This will let me know if you have an eye for boxing...

What Garcia is saying is that he wants to fight any and everybody. But he's saying his father and promoter might not have the same ideas.

He also says he doesn't see a reason not to fight Mathysse because he's nothing special but a tough guy.

I'm not sure how people are interpreting this as he won't fight Mathysse

Good posts man. I think these cats just don't like Garcia. If Judah and Alexander got off the hook from Matthysse then I'm giving Garcia a shot at beating him. I just don't see anyone at 140 walking through more than one of them hooks placed perfect on the chin.

Be a hell of a fight, but I'd take Lucas. Garcia was getting hammered with straight rights from Khan, and Matthysse throws his with far more power to both the head and body.

His timing nullified the speed of both Judah and Alexander - two guys just as, or faster than Garcia, so he knows how to deal with fast guys.

I doubt we see the fight though. Very high risk for Danny after destroying the Mexican legend, and very little reward in fighting the most dangerous guy in the division who is really only known to the hardcores of the sport, despite 3 or 4 appearances on HBO/Showtime.

IMO I think mathysse is undefeated , I thought without a doubt that he beat both Judah and Alexander .. He was robbed on both .. Mathysse is a serious threat to Danny .. I'd definitely favor mathysse if he fights brave like he has been .. They both pack good punches but I'd say mathysse pulls it out in a war .. Mathysse along with the ghost Guerrero is among the most underrated fighters in the game today

Matthysse is the guy at 140. Most true boxing fans feel this way
