This isn't bashing Garcia this is meant to put him in to perspective. So far he's done everything right and been impressive but it's against weak competition. Now the level of competition is not Garcia's fault understand that because I do. However, the hype machine ready to anoint him as a killer is far too premature. All I'm saying is before we start placing Garcia on the p4p list we need him to prove he deserves to be there by beating elite guys. For the last part he will likely have to move up.

Right now he's squeaked some wins, but at 24, he's still hasnt hit his prime. He could end up getting better.

How is this lazy rhetoric? I'm stating a factual based opinion. Khan was a product of hype and no one was calling him p4p ever then Garcia beats him good win but weak opposition. Morales is an ATG but at a much lower weight and his prime effectively ended in 2006 so it's not that good of a victory in my eyes.

Garcia is young and he has time but all I'm saying is some need to slow down on the hype. Shit I even read someone posting about Garcia's KO being the best left hook KO in history, in ***** history!!! Wow so let's ignore the goat SRR wiping out the legendary mw champ fulmer with a left hook and call Garcia's the greatest. That's the kind of hype I'm hoping I can help people see is misplaced.

Indeed, I still think Matthysse will be a very hard fight for Garcia but it should be one heck of a scrap.

He has slightly above average power, is a good, not special but good fighter and yes much of his success is product of circumstance but good for him for being a fighter at this time and having taken advantage of the chances he has gotten can't knock the guy.

It's a lazy way to discredit a fighter, instead of just saying why you think he sucks or why you don't like him, you compare him to other generations to prove your point.

But sure every other week people cream their pants here for a good performance.
