Again you mention this "generation" argument how the fack is 6 years, 6 years a generation? If that's the case then I'm approaching 5 generations of life by your definition.
So to you Hopkins is like 48 so he's 8 generations old to you. Wow.Comment

The guy is 24, 25 fights and the experts on boxingscene are already judging his career. I dont like him and his dad, but the level of hate some boxers get from the ignorant kids around here is unbelievably ******

Lets face it the guy can hit and hit very hard he's proven that but what he hasn't proven is how well he does against elite level guys now this is partly because he's in a fairly weak division and that's not his fault but..
Fans need to stop jumping on this guy like he's the jr welter Tyson and realize that if he fought in the Tszyu era he wouldn't be a belt holder let alone the real champ. Only 7-8 years ago this division had a close to prime Tszyu, Floyd, Mitchell, Gatti and an up and coming Hatton. Maybe prime for prime Garcia gets by Mitchell and Gatti but he barely touches prime Tszyu or Floyd and I'd like Hatton's chances if it was in England.
I like Garcia and this isn't meant to tear him apart but lets slow down with the hype machine and wait until he beats someone dangerous not a great but very old Erik and the glass jawed Khan.
Which of today's LWWs could handle life in the Tszyu era? Khan certainly couldn't. What you are pointing out is that today's LLWs are inferior to Tszyu era and really you should be leveling this post to all of today's LWWs and not just Garcia who may well be the best of them.Comment

lol, jesus i love these threads guys win a fight they aren't suppose to win then all of a sudden the guy that was suppose to win is a bum.
it's always the same **** even if khan won people would be saying garcia was a bum neither khan nor garcia is a bum or a hype job gtfo.
why do guys on here find it so hard to give fighters there credit?Comment

As I already pointed out at least once, Garcia is in a weak division. Now that's not his fault and I've admitted that at least twice now but people need to pump the brakes on his hype bandwagon and wait until he does something noteworthy like beat an elite fighter. Khan I've never rated but I highly rated the hype machine behind him it was marketing genius and if only all boxers could be so lucky. Erik is a legend and 10 years ago was doing great things 3 weight classes lower but his prime ended in 2006. It's hard to rate either win because Erik was so past his best. Read what I'm saying, this is about slowing the hype machine not saying Garcia is terrible give him time before anointing him a top fighter.Which of today's LWWs could handle life in the Tszyu era?
