Regardless of why he didn't look great against Chisora you can't be seriously trying to make an argument for Vitali being in his prime at 41.

I don't like Haye and he doesn't really deserve it but at the same time, it's the fight I want to see.

So David Haye has accepted the same slave contract that he so proudly and emphatically rejected before capitulating like a Frenchman against Wladimir.

        What an Uncle Tom.

Vitali is the terminator. He fits the part. Tall, imposing, cerebral.

Haye is the hoodlum on the street that gets lit up by a machine gun. LOL.

I want Vitali to just once come out with a Terminator theme song.

Bad move by Haye. He should go after Wlad. He simply can't beat Vitali.

He won't get Wlad again without going through Vitali.

I don't know if this will really happen. I think Haye could win it if it does. He wouldn't have to be so wary of punching power as he was with Wlad.

Vitali trails only Mayweather in least hit punch stats in all of boxing.

Problem is, Haye can't hit Vitali because of Vitali's stance and ability to take long steps back to dodge punches. If Haye actually does get close, Vitali will just clinch him until the ref breaks it up. Then, when Haye finally does sneak a punch through, it will have no affect on Vitali's beard.

I don't care how old Vitali is, I care more about his performances and what he's showed. Haye simply can't and won't win. I'm actually rooting for Haye because I like him and want a change for once. I like Vitali too, but damn, he's had his reign long enough; time for new blood.

Anyway, back to the topic. At least if Haye connects against Wlad, Wlad has shown the tendency to go on shaky legs and possibly drop. Not only will Haye not be able to hit Vitali, but even if he does, it will have no affect on him. It's a lose lose situation. If he fights Wlad, especially without Steward, he's got a big shot.

                  I disagree,

We've all seen that Vitali is very intelligent when fighting smaller, more aggressive fighters, as was evidenced during his brilliant performances against Sam Peter and Chris Arreola. But, we've seen the current WBC Champ get into trouble when he over commits against a fluid fighter who can slip and counter effectively.

When Vitali fought Corrie Sanders back in 2004 for the WBC Heavyweight title, the South African was able to bait him in and hurt Klitschko with a sharp left hand counter against the ropes. Sanders stunned Vitali in the first round and legitimately had his man hurt in the final moments of the opening stanza.

Sanders didn't have the kind of conditioning to capitalize on his opportunities, but David Haye will. I see Haye implementing a very similar fight plan should he meet Vitali Klitschko in the near future.

David Haye has the same ability to slip and counter effectively. Like Sanders, Haye doesn't telegraph his punches and has the ability to explode with short, compact shots when an opponent misses and leaves himself out of position. Haye should have the same kind of success against Vitali, especially if he can establish his left hand to the body and to the head early in the fight.

All of Haye's opponents know that he has a lethal right hand counter. Against a very intelligent fight like Vitali Klitschko, Haye absolutely must give him something else to focus on during the fight. He has to establish his left hand to the body and head in the form of a jab or hook. Even if he isn't successful in landing the left hand, he has to give Vitali something else to think about.

This is where Haye will be more successful than Corrie Sanders. Corrie didn't have anything else in his arsenal that could hurt Vitali. Once Vitali figured out the angle and distance needed to stay away from that deadly left hand of Sanders, the fight was over. There was nothing more that Sanders could do.

For one, you mentioned a fight that was almost 9 years ago; and a southpaw at that (Sanders).

For two, Sanders stunned Vitali. Sanders knocked Wlad the fcuk out. HUGE difference. This is what I mean when I say Vitali has the better beard and ability to take shots and why Haye has a better chance beating Wlad.

Again, Sanders momentarily stunned Vitali, but he brutaly knocked Wlad out. See the difference?

Lastly, you're talking about how easy it is to hit Vitali and how he was hit 9 years ago. But explain to me why he's only behind Mayweather as far as being the least hit fighter today?

No you've got it all wrong. Wlad is just a bad style match-up for Haye because he is SO cautious, which Haye also is. Wlad constantly stayed just at the end of his range, thumping that jab, but was ready at a seconds notice to move back away from Haye's shots.

Wlad did simply what he needed to do to win, he didn't get ****** and he stayed tight the entire 12 rounds, it was actually Haye who had to gamble
(But not enough). In order for Haye to beat Wlad he needs to work on his inside game.

My point is that since Sanders (RIP Corrie) Vitali has not yet faced a tall man, who has good fleet of foot and quick handspeed & power.

Vitali is one of the smartest fighters in boxing. Haye will have to take full advantage of the few opportunities that Klitschko will give him, because there will only be a limited number of openings throughout the entire fight.
