Canelo is shooting for a ring return on May 4th, one of the most lucrative weekends in boxing, and he wants a major opponent. Three names are on his list - WBA 154-pound champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs), former three division world champion Miguel Cotto (37-3, 20KOs), and WBC middleweight king Sergio Martinez (50-2-2, 28KOs).

I don't see why they wouldn't make Canelo-Bundrage in December, to grab that title and just vacate it, and than fight Cotto. Either way, beating Cotto, if Cotto beats Trout, will show people that Canelo does inf act have the goods to be a top fighter and is legit.

The sad part is I wouldn't even be surprised if that fight happened.

Sergio vs Mayweather jr

Canelo vs Cotto

same nite

BUT

What will happen is :

Canelo vs Sergio or Cotto and May chicken JR will Wait out like normal for those guys to pummel each other to death and then take the winner maybe
