Martinez has fought way bigger guys with better defense than Cotto and put a clinic or straight KO'd them. Cotto doesn't stand a chance but this is just my opinion and it is ok to have yours and in regards to Chavez Jr. I know he is a bum but he is a pressure fighter and that's Cotto's Kryptonite. Chavez Jr as much as I don't want to say it would have knocked Cotto out on his ass.
Your whole statement failed in the first sentence.

Cotto is way better than Martinez technically. Cotto is by far the better boxer, with better timming and a better jab. Cotto is pretty fast himself with his hands, Martinez is a bit faster no doubt. Just cuz martinez llooks flashy and fast with his style dont mean he is good technically, in fact most would argue the exact opposite.

Cotto has 3 things martinez dont like, a jab, timming and body punching. Martinez is not a pressure fighter, nor his defense is great. The Cotto that has been seeing in his last 2 fights, puts a beating on Martinez Win, Lose or Draw.

Who tha fuck has Martinez beaten besides Pavlik and Williams worth mentioning? And Williams was a KO wating to happend.

No he didnt Cintron was up by the count of 8 and the situation got all confused. He definatly got nailed by Sergio with a left no doubt, it should had counted as a KD.

        Cotto nuthuggers.

        Pavlik/Williams>>>>>>>>>>majority of Cotto's opponents.

Cotto is not way better than Martinez technically. Maybe a bit better though.

Cotto is not better than Martinez at all. Cotto cannot adjust like Martinez and doesn't have the foot work or hand speed like Sergio Martinez. Cotto is good but not great. I respect him but he has lots of holes in his defense and eats too many big shots. Martinez is bigger, stronger, faster and smarter in the ring period.

You're bugging. Martinez out jabbed a jabber who was called "razor" prior by the name of Sergei Dzinzurik. When was the last time Cotto hurt someone to the body badly with a body punch? Martinez is better. you have your opinion and I'll have mine but if the fight ever happens..... Cotto is getting KO'd.

              1. Does any reasonable human expect Cotto to have fought Williams right after getting violently stopped against Margarito?

              2. Paul Williams fought Quintana the second time in June. Cotto got killed vs Margo in July. Paul than fought Kolle at 160 and Verno Phillips at 154 over the rest of the year. As a matter of fact, he never saw WW again.

So where in this was it soooo pressing that Cotto fight Williams? Does anyone really think he "Waited" for Williams to vacate? He vacated in September for gods sake and immediately jumped two weight classes! Cotto fought for the belt in late February! It was nothing but a product of circumstance.
So you admit that Cotto took an easy win for a vacant title (Paul Williams title).

You're wrong..... Cintron got counted out by the ref and started complaining that he got hit with a head butt. That should have been a KO win for Sergio Martinez. Can't believe you are debating this.

Cotto wont rule it out because Cotto is afraid of no man. He is a throw back fighter 100%. Win or lose he fights the best. Sergio takes him apart, but Id still like to see the fight.

To Cotto, a former champion in three weight divisions, it was very important to put himself in position to end the year as a world champion.

I mean I used to give him a lot of s#!t back in the days but he is a serious guy and I like how he carries himself as a person and definitely respect how he broke free from Bob Arum and won't fold to get another Pacquiao fight but Sergio Martinez would pound Cotto to the ground and the fight would not be competitive. Cotto has nothing that can trouble Martinez and Sergio is putting beatings on bigger guys and late KO's. While Cotto is a good fighter, Martinez is a great one and he is just too quick and strong and Cotto just eats too many punches. I would love to see the fight but in all honestly..... this is an easy fight and payday for Sergio Martinez. Floyd would lose too against Martinez is my honest opinion. Sergio is bigger, fast and stronger than Cotto and Mayweather. Floyd doesn't perform dominantly at 154 like at 147 so Martinez would be a problem. Floyd's defense may get him through but Sergio ****s and Cotto would not see the final bell. If Cotto/Martinez happens then I'll bet 20MIL e-points on Sergio Martinez not just for the win but the KO.

I agree with every single word here < RESPECT >
people are talking about boxing and P2P champs like we are 3 years ago

Martinez will beat Cotto easy , in more competetive fight than Chavez Jr. of course
I can see Martinez beating Mayweather and Canelo too

I wish the winner of Martinez vs Cotto fight the winner of Mayweather vs Canelo

the biggest challenge available for Martinez is Ward , I hope Ward can find a way to go down

I am lucky to witness the Maravilla boxing , Martinez is good for boxing
