Comments Thread For: Chavez Eyes Rematch: I'd Knock Sergio Martinez Out

Former champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32KOs) believes that he would knock Sergio Martinez (50-2-2, 28KOs) out in a rematch. Martinez won a twelve round decision over Chavez to capture the WBC middleweight crown on September 15 in Las Vegas.

No point in a rematch, Martinez got careless and gave Chavez an opportunity that he wouldn't get in a rematch.

Martinez would completely dominate him in a rematch, this time winning every single round. Or Chavez Jr could come out aggressively and Martínez would take him out early.

He can stop Martinez but if he opens up from the start Martinez can stop him too.

Sergio looks worse than C****z. He's deciding to fight this bum again instead of fighting legit opponents at MW.

GGG is ready, Pirog is ready, Geale wants a fight. All 3 of those guys dismantle the joke that is Junior. Why not fight one of those? Instead he chooses bum ass C****z again. Sergio is showing a cowardly heart.

Let's see, Sergio can make $750,000 to fight one of the guys you named on non-PPV, or several million to fight Chavez again, this time probably as the draw. Which one to do when you're 37???? Hmmmm.....

He made 1.5 M for fighting Barker..

If he fights Golovkin, HBO will likely pick that fight up and he can make 2 M or so.
