Nevertheless, Martinez is prepared to come down to the weight class at which Floyd last fought.

Floyd refuses to fight Pacquiao, now is he refusing to fight Martinez?

So who is going to fight, Berto? Bradley? those are second rate fights compared to the big ones.
The fight that makes the most money is the one that will get made. And if not, then it's the runner-up that will get made.

Canelo, Pacquaio, and Cotto 2 are all more likely to be Floyd's next fight rather than Martinez. And it's because of money. Similarly, Martinez will not get into the ring with Andre Ward because of money. Why face Andre Ward and make a purse less than what he made with Chavez Jr? Why fight anyone else when it'll be for less money if he can legitimately fight Chavez Jr again next? That 12th round knockout was like a miracle from heaven for the promoters. The rematch will get made.

Sergio aint ******, win or lose vs Cotto he still have that Chavez Jr. rematch.
A Martinez fight with Cotto would be something that can totally postpone a Chavez Jr. rematch. But, I'm just not so sure if Cotto is readily willing to fight a guy that's a bit bigger than him.

I hope Martinez pursues a rematch for this reason as well. He deserves some nice paydays after all the work he's put into his career.

Chavez didnt realize these things until the last 2 rounds. In the rematch, he will stop Martinez within the first 7 rounds. Martinez is just too small to be fighting a cw. Martinez should just fight Cotto, and move on. People think Martinez just outclassed a bum. I think he got lucky and manipulated a cw into fighting the wrong fight, and did something amazing in dominating, and walking down a cw. Keywords "CW" Martinez did something amazing, just based on the weight. No need to try to do the impossible again. And beat up a cw. Martinez will be the same in the rematch. Its small things Chavez can change that will make it a very very easy fight and get himself an inevitable stoppage.
LOL. Your post is hilarious. If they rematch, Martinez is gonna dominate Jr. and cut up his face all over again.

            Bingo.

Man, Jr. still has yet to give Martinez any respect even after the beating he took. If I'm Martinez, I don't give him a rematch anymore. **** that spoiled son of a legend.

First I want to see Sergio the GREAT Knock out Mayweather JR

              but

we all know that May JR is too chicken to fight a threat but in the same vein Chavez JR is NOT.

May JR has the skills,,,but not enough of the BALLS department to face a possible LOSS

              on the other hand:

IF C. Jr listens this time to Roach

Trains during this off time, works on his game plan, stays in great shape

then come time to fight Sergio the Great

then Chavez Jr will KO Sergio

I know Chavez can't out box Sergio

Please Mayweather JR for the sake of boxing, LOL please don't be afraid anylonger, please , please purtty please with ice cream on top , please fight Sergio , it won't hurt long, then you can fight Pac and retire a two time loser

If Sergio had just avoided that knockdown, no rematch talk would make any sense. How I wish he had... because it still doesn't really make sense.

Daaamn, Chavez Jr really get's hated on badly on here.

Anyhow...regarding this topic he's obviously gonna say that isn't he? Or do you want him to say ''Martinez would school me again''?

He's a fighter...he's got a fighters mentality. You beat me once but next time im gonna get ya. I for one wouldn't mind seeing a rematch. Obviously it wouldn't be my first choice of a fight involving Maravila however if it happens i'd look forward to it.

Yes Martinez absolutely dominated Chavez Jr for the first 11 rounds of the first fight however i think that will have taught Jr a lesson that he can't box with Maravila as Maravila completely dominates him...so i think he'd come into a 2nd fight more willing to throw some bombs which would leave himself more open....which would give us fans some epic excitment as SOMEBODY.......

I doubt a rematch will be Sergio's next fight.

Chavez will be suspended for probably 6 months and Sergio will be out for about 8.

Jose Sulaiman basically said no immediate rematch. Arum isn't ****** either both know it's better to let Martinez age a bit more and then let Chavez fight Martinez.

I'm starting to think Martinez will probably face his WBC mandatory in Argentine because Godoy is a fellow Argentine. it'll keep the WBC from stripping him for a year.

as for Golovkin, Pirog and Geale they'll have to fight each other because NOBODY knows them, just the hardcore and you all should know by now Boxing isn't a sport that caters to it's hardcore fans.
