This article was published in January of this year so isn't really relevant anymore. More people watched Froch beat the hell out of Bute than watched Groves vs Degale. After that win it is clear that Froch might not be young and dynamic but he is one hell of a warrior and would mangle Degale in a way that wouldn't be at all entertaining.
I knew it was, but it's still a heck of a stat and does show the potential value of a Froch-DeGale fight from Carl's perspective. I agree with you on the outcome too, so it's a win-win for Froch.
Froch doesn't beat anyone with relative ease. Normally he's the won who never wins in a fantasy match-ups but now you think he trumps DeGale and Groves easily?

Don't even start with the Abraham fight. Froch styled on him but Abraham is such a basic fighter, he either defends or attacks and when he does the former he leaves himself in no position to attack.
Bute was overwhelmed with Froch's pressure. I was very impressed with Froch but more shocked at how naive Bute looked.
However, in fights where the opponent doesn't just cover up and has the ability to deal with Froch's pressure - he looks very ordinary. I could really nitpick but I don't want to have to shit on him.
But Froch did win those fights with relative ease so the bolded makes no sense.
