how is floyd, who weighed about 150 when he won the JMW title, a natural fight for the MW champ?
Are you playing games with me, like Floyd does with the boxing world?
Sergio is calling Floyd out and is desperate to fight Floyd at 154....not 160.
Floyds always saaying you called me out. Well, Sergio has called you floyd, so what you gonna do about it?
Of course its a natural fight for Floyd and Sergio. Sergio thinks he can beat Floyd at 154, Sergios weaker weight. Just like JMM thought he could beat Floyd 2 divisions higher than his normal weight. Floyd aint got a problem with fighting JMM, so why you got a problem with Sergio fighting Floyd?
ok so far Foloyd has ducked casamayor and frietes at lightweight, cotto at 140 antonio mararito, paul williams, manny pacquio and maybe cory spinks at 147 and now Martinex and probably soon to be canelo at 154. Who did I miss?
why do some people hate martinez so much? I don't get it, the guy is clean, has fought himself up from the gutter and only has a few years left to make the big fights he has always wanted AND he is currently trying his best to make said fights .... all I can think of is people are pissed cause he schooled druggie chavez
No mayweather radical fanatic fans hate anyone who people consider a challenge to him. They just want him to stay in an undefeated goat bubble and never have to fight anyone. They are happy with that. They don't criticize him at all for fighting all the cans he fought and retiring. To them it was a good move and made him fantasy fight champion.
Martinez is a real 154 lber. Floyd is a real 147 lber. That's 1 weight class difference. People seem to forget that Martinez fought almost his entire career at 147. What's amazing about Martinez is that he is dominating against the best at 160 and he's not even a real middleweight.
Ward is a supermiddleweight. That's two weight classes over Martinez. And, Ward is a real supermiddleweight who'll likely be going up to 175 in a few years.
Moreover, Floyd has no problem going up to 154 to fight people he knows he can beat. Why does he have an issue stepping up to fight Martinez at that weight? Martinez has never gone up to 168 to fight anybody even though there were many more high profile fights to be made for him at that weight class. That speaks volumes.
A buddy of mine says that you should bet on Mayweather when he makes a fight because Floyd would never sign a deal if he thought he had any chance of losing it. I think that's right. He wins his fights in matchmaking. Don't get me wrong, he's a great fighter. But there is a reason Floyd hasn't fought the most dangerous guys at 147 and 154--he is risk averse.
Martinez is a real middleweight. The "he's really a jr middleweight" is some nonsense that he and his team came up with when the questions began to arise about him fighting super middleweights and light heavyweights. Martinez walks around above 180lbs. And he's not exactly a guy that stays outta the public between fights. And in the pics I've seen, he seems to carry that 180lb+ quite well. No matter how you spin it, Martinez and Ward are a heckuva lot closer in size than Martinez and Mayweather. So if you wanna bust Mayweather's balls for not fighting Martinez, which BTW he's never said he wouldn't. You need to bust Martinez's balls for not fighting Ward, which he has publically made one excuse after another as to why he won't.
But the three that mattered gave it to Bradley. Now if only they had agreed the winner getting a higher % then Bradley would have came out huge because there is no corruption in this sport
im actually all for floyd moving up and fighting him at a 155 catchweight for lineal... are you sure sergio rehydrated to 167?? if he did then im all for making the fight at 160... i just dont think its in floyds best interest to fight a man who weighs more than 20lbs more than him on fight night... ask pac how he felt after that margacheato fight... he handled him pretty easily but he still took some punishment from the big fella
If he did that I would love to see all the flow mos make retractions about catch weights. They would all change their tune so fast your head would spin

The funny thing to me is that since 2007, Mayweather and Pacquaio have 5 common opponents. Outside the 5 common opponents, Mayweather has fought Ortiz, who was best available welterweight outside of Pac at the time. Pac has fought Clottey and Margarito, both of whom were coming off loses when they fought Pac. And of the common opponents since 2007, Mayweather fought all but one before Pac. So please explain to me how Mayweather is constantly lambasted and labeled a ducker, cherrypicker, blah, blah, blah why Pacquaio is simultaneously having his balls massaged as a "take-on-all-comers warrior."
