You're always going to find one person saying something like that. No matter who the fighter is.

Mayweather's an arsehole. He's got a lot of people who don't like him so this is always going to be the case with him anyway.

The only fight out of those lists that a long long long list of people were truley saying Mayweather was ducking and should fight and Mayweather is scared to death of etc etc was Mosley.

It is true though, if Mayweather were to beat Martinez then a lot of the people who are asking for the fight now will discredit it. But again, you've got to expect it at this point.

      Great post.

Now Manny is your best case but he wasn't around in 2007 so you are off point,a dn even him I could use your argument against Floyd against Manny, but since I am not an ass clown I won't do that because I do respect Manny as a great fighter.

You can't debate your way out of a wet paper sack~ and you have a broke ass view of boxing that is highly dependent on the views of others. put some big boy pants on and learn how to form your own views on boxing, the truth shall set you free.

Williams dominated the division for years? LOL he lost his first title defense then he won the rematch and has fought above 147 in every single fight after that.

Cotto and Margarito = top rank fighters at the time. I don't even need to explain that one.

You think Bundrage would beat Cotto at '54?

You're that guy that crawls out of your little hole when Mayweather beats the brakes off someone, yelling about who he should have fought and pouting about his selection of fights.

Let me guess, he shouldn't have drained Corrales and fought Casa instead, right?
oscar came off a win over mayorga. what's so impressive about that? that's like alfonso gomez beating gatti. cool? i guess floyd should fight gomez?

he beat margarito, lost to quintana, beat him in the rematch, then was looking for a big fight at 147 before he moved up. he was there for awhile. floyd didn't want any after he beat margarito or quintana in the rematch. ortiz had 1 fight at 147 and floyd fought him. you can't win.

You spoke very key words towards the end -- only hype and popularity. This leads us to the enlightening fact that boxing is a BUSINESS first! Everything else comes second place. So all your complaints about fighters not fighting this guy and that guy falls on deaf ears when it is always business that comes first. And that goes for all fighters. These so-called fighters are businessmen first, fighters second.
