I hope Sergio doesn't allow the guys in the background make the moves and pull the strings. Legacy-wise, Chavez isn't worth another training camp. If Cotto can pull it off against Trout, then that's the match-up to go for, make it on the weekend of the PR parade in MSG.
Martinez calls out Mayweather "I Will Crack Your Bones Like I Did To Chavez Jr"

Let's not get into résumés because we both know Angulo hadn't beat anyone leading up to Cintron and up to that point, Cintron's best moment was getting stopped by Margs... twice, and scoring a draw against Martinez even though we all saw Martinez beat him twice in one fight.Comment

Wow. SMH.
Maybe he should have joined the Super 6? That would have shown he has balls to you, probably?Comment

avoiding the best to pick up easy belts and easy money from gullible fans=no balls. basilio would spit on floyd for being such a disgrace. then floyd would run away from him because he's a great fighter.Comment

2007 154 De La Hoya, and Miguel Cotto, aren't "easy" belts for anybody at all.Comment

Must suck being so good that everything is easy~ hard to get credit for anything that away.
So everything he does is easy and everything he elected not to do was a real challenge~ that is not a flawed way of looking at things at all~Comment

I am sorry hardcore boxing fans but this fight will never happen. Sergio has to be a bit delusional in his thinking, if he believes that he could goad a naturally smaller Mayweather who is more than two weight classes below him and let alone his handlers into taking this potential bout is not very rational. Especially in light of the fact that Martinez has nothing Floyd need. For one, he comes to the barqaining table empty handed. He is yet to have proven that he is a box office draw or have a solid/loyal fanbase that Floyd can capitalize on. The only reason why Floyd made a couple of forays into the higher weight class of 154 lbs division was because his chosen opponents brought a lot to the bargaining table with them. For example, both De La Hoya and Cotto had large followings and were established box office draws at the time. For those reasons alone, it made those bouts very easy to make and made very smart business sense. Moreover, Money May is at the very tail end of his career; After cementing his legacy in the sport for almost two decades, he has very little to prove in challenging a very skilled and much larger and stronger opponent who probably outweighs him by 25 lbs or more at this point. I think that if Martinez is looking for the bigger paydays, then he should probably stick to fighting these younger, inexperienced and up and coming fighters with huge fan bases who are out to prove something of themselves.Last edited by champion4ever; 09-27-2012, 09:09 PM.Comment

WBC champion that he got from De La Hoya[and never lost it, just dropped it and went back down to 147], and now the WBA title from Miguel Cotto. Both fighters at the full limit of 154, no catchweights. Were they really "easy belts", or are you just complimenting Floyd that much, that it's actually easy for him?

What a badass Sergio is! Calling out a guy he'll outweigh by 20 pounds!!
How about talking to GOLOVKIN like that? A guy your own size?
But *****gio, will Mayweather in turn split your eye open, and splatter your ass across the canvas like Chavez did to you A GUY WHO HAS BEEN BOXING FOR 8 YEARS? Or will he leave you (LITERALLY) unconscious, in a slumped up heap on the ropes like Margarito did to you? Margarito is your PAPÍ. . . Floyd will be too if he fights you, despite you being so much bigger.
Hahahahhaahah. . . Funny little phaggot Sergio is. . .Comment
