I buy it just because he had to drink a lot of liquid just to get up to 151 [i.e. the cold]. He walks around at fight weight anyway. Was only 150 on fight night when he fought DLH.

It still does crack me up when people call you a Floyd fan.

Although Floyd was apparently under the weather (Mulvaney and Rafeal have no reason to lie about him not sounding like himself) so if he was in fact sick he could have lost weight due to lack of appetite or um issues related to being sick.

Still I would say 151, no reason to believe he moved much.
That's what they said post-fight, coupled with the hurt hand. It's not hard to believe he walked into the ring at '47. Apparently, he lost 15 pounds from not eating while he was away.

So it's hilarious how people can cry "duck" when a guy who was may have weighed less than '40 at one point in the last couple months if he doesn't want to mix it up with somebody who walks around at '70+. I'd like to Martinez fight a current champ at '54 just to gauge how well he'll perform at his age, at a weight he hasn't fought at in three years.

Ruiz weighed less in the ring that at the weigh in when he fought......RJJ I think?

I am a fan. How could you not be after what he's done since his return? But unlike so many people here, I'm not afraid to call him out on BS. And that's what some posters don't get--they let their love or hate blind their common sense. Pacquiao was dominating the division? Don't make me laugh.

so what excuses do you think floyd will use to turn down the fight?

              martinez lives too far away?
martinez isn't the CEO of his own company?
floyd isn't thinking about boxing right now?
floyd is concerned about his health?
martinez is using super steroids that can't be detected so until we come up with new steroid tests no fight?
martinez is too big for floyd even though floyd is champion at 154?
floyd hasn't recovered from jail yet?

or make up your own! the possibilities are endless! i'm personally going with i'm not thinking about boxing right now but then when senchenko or some random guy wins a belt FLOYD'S BACK! TAKING ON THE YOUNG LIONS!

I'm still trying to figure out who would have won the mega-event between K-9 and Mayweather back in May.
